Accepted Wayspot not appearing in Pokémon GO after 48+ hours

The sync has not happened in a couple days now, so we all have to wait here patiently.

The waypoint is quite a fair distance away from other stops and gyms, so it would have been bizarre to have been rejected as a stop

The waypoint being quite a fair distance away does not have to mean anything. If it will appear in-game than it has to follow the cell rules

I have this written up for when I see a wheresmypokestop question. I know the in-game prompt tells you that you are submitting a “Pokestop” but you are actually submitting a Wayspot to the database. The Web Submit form does use the word “wayspot” instead. The Wayspot can only become a Pokestop or gym if it is alone in a level 17 S2 cell. The S2 cell use has not been officially confirmed as far as I am aware, but staff has acknowledged there is an additional step after acceptance. This is a good…

Welcome to the wayfarer forums.

We will be waiting here with you until the sync happens.

Do note that powerspots don’t follow the rules of a daily sync and are instead synced in monthly on the fourth. The next one being the 4th of April.

Your waypoint that is supposed to become pokestop will appear next sync if it follows the cell rules.

I submitted a few new Pokéstops and have been approved but still not in game. This was in Jan and Feb. Who do I need to get in touch with to find out what is happening with this? Thanks for any help you can provide.
