Accepted Wayspot not appearing in Pokémon GO after 48+ hours

Hello, I would like to request help checking a nomination that was accepted but still has not appeared in Pokémon GO after more than 48 hours.

My nomination was accepted on March 14, 2026 at 10:00 AM PHT. As of now, it still has not appeared in Pokémon GO.

I already checked the placement and it is in a different S2 Level 17 cell from existing PokéStops. It should also be the 6th POI within the same S2 Level 14 cell, so I expected it to appear in Pokémon GO.

Location / coordinates:
14.348150, 120.870642

Could anyone tell me whether this is due to:

  • a sync issue
  • a Pokémon GO eligibility issue
  • or another gameboard/location rule

We have seen reports that the sync did not happen over the weekend.

Hopefully it will show up tomorrow for you.

Do note that your wayspot could also not be appearing on the map because of the cell rules.

I.measure the spots and they are way longer than 22 metres. I wish i can have My poi soo. Thanx anyway

The 22 Metre rule is only used for powerspots.

Or were your spots alrready in occupied level 17 S2 cells and did you measure them for powerspots, in which case the powerspot sync is only once a month. It is supposed to happen the 4th April next.

Same here it got accepted saturday at 12:38pm UTC +1

Please wait patiently until the sync time has happened, since it seems to be skipped during the weekend. The sync happens in about 6 to 6,5 hours. If it does not happen again there might be some issues regarding the sync

I have heard no reports or evidence that sync has happened today.

Same here. The wayspots are in empty cells and haven’t appeared yet. Meanwhile the Wayfarer map marks them as “not in game”.

Please wait patiently until we have reports of the next sync happening.

The wayfarer map is accurate right now since they are indeed not in-game yet, but don’t let that text discourage you.

They will come with next sync.

I’m waiting and hoping for some good news. I imagine the devs might be running into some issues right now, which could be why the syncs are getting delayed. But hey, knowing that I’m not the only one experiencing this makes it a bit easier to take. Guess we’re all in the same boat for now. LOL

The ambassadors have made the wayfarer team aware of the recent sync misses. And the many questions it raises.

Maybe the team will post something if there is an issue. If it is not and there is just some weird stuff that can be fixed with 1 button press​:rofl: they usually keep it like this.

Also submitted a new Waypoint recently that would have been in Go. It’s assuring to know I’m not the only one noticing submissions weren’t synced to the game.

The waypoint is quite a fair distance away from other stops and gyms, so it would have been bizarre to have been rejected as a stop. It’s a regional town, so not a lot of locations have been submitted around here.

I too am experiencing this, just got two nominations approved and they are not in game. One I believe will be a power spot and the other 100% a pokestop
