What does mean by basic user or Ambassador ?? Are there more levels/types our there? How to get promoted or earn different badges moreover are they of any actual help? Well obviously information related to actual use of account and use?

The wayfarer forum uses these with some modifications.
In addition you will also see some other tags
The Niantic staff members are tagged as wayfarer team.
There are also tags for those of us that are part of the Wayfarer Ambassador program either as current Ambassadors or previously Ambassadors - Alum.
Some of those in the Ambassador program also are moderators of the forum.

I don’t really visit these forums anymore, but last time I checked, all of the ambassadors were moderators on the forum.
Has that changed now? It sounds like a good change, since then ambo’s aren’t immediately expected to bear the weight of moderating the community here.
Nothing has changed since we arrived in this new space.
