Additional Information (if any):
This wayspot is for a trail entrance to Champlain South Trail located at the end of Library Lane. I submitted a correction to the title for spelling accuracy (Champlin → Champlain), and to match the other trail head naming convention (located at 41.311435, -72.315818 - Named: Champlain South Trail (Meetinghouse Lane) ). My submission was Champlain South Trail (Library Lane).
I am submitting an appeal to the rejection as I feel the spelling error and naming convention is worthy of a change reflecting this trail entrance.
The correct way to appeal a rejected submission even if it is just an edit is via the appeal button on your contribution. We get 2 appeals, each on a 15 day counter before we can use them again. If you don’t have the button, you don’t have an appeal to use.
Yes, these are the same set of appeals we get for nominations.
I might try the form listed above under “Wayspot Removals” because it can be used for modifications as well.
The questions asked never match what I am trying to do, so just pick something to get it to let you move to the text box where you can write what you are actually trying to do. If you get an acknowledgement email asking for your credentials as property owner, just ignore that. A person will respond.
If you use the form, let us know if that worked, please.
That’s fair. I generally do my submissions in-app via PokemonGO, and just watch for the e-mails. I know the e-mail has a link to the wayfinder webpage, but rarely do I have trouble with submissions such as this.
To your knowledge, should I try to appeal via Wayfinder now, having already made this post, or should I try for next time?
While this may not be the correct discussion point, I’m a little hesitant in trying multiple attempts via appeals or posts due to concerns we’ve seen with some users seeing bans (though I’m also aware that we never get the whole story) – I think because our intent is honest and trying to create and foster goodness in our community (through clearly labeled pokestops and updated pictures that capture the essence of the area), it should be fine, but I don’t know where the line is on what is TOS breaking (hardline vs. interpretive) and I don’t want to push that envelope, if that makes sense.
Since you did make this post, wait and see if staff action it before doing anything else. IDK how long to suggest you wait.
I think that if the only change were the typo, then this would have been accepted. I am surprised that a typo correction wasn’t accepted. Is this a typo, or did you have the bracket on one side in your suggestion?
I honestly do not know where the line is on trying to make the Wayspot titles match other is either. But this does not look like a repurposing of the Wayspot, which is what I usually see get tagged as abuse.
Hoping someone with more experience on edits lately can help here.
