Appeal for Pokestop thats been removed

When submitting a Wayspot Appeal, make sure to include as much of the following information as possible:

  • Wayspot Title: Bartley Smith Greenway 730m
  • Location (lat/lon): (43.838480/-79.513890)
  • City: Vaughan
  • Country: Canada
  • Screenshot of the Rejection Email (do not include your personal information): No Rejection email, its just been completely removed from Pokemon Go for no reason.
  • Additional Information (if any): This was a recently approved pokestop nomination and then it suddenly disappeared.

Welcome to the forum @schoolboyli

Did you make a mistake? Those coordinates appear to be directly on a private residence that appears to not be on the route of the Greenway.

For reference, here are the coordinates on Google Maps:

And here’s a picture from the trail map PDF with a red box showing where those coordinates are and how they don’t appear to be near the bit that’s marked as the Greenway:

If you have made a mistake, it would help Niantic to review your appeal if you could provide the correct coordinates of what you submitted.

Because this is a fake Wayspot. The object does not/cannot exist at that location.

The coordinates are roughly correct.

Looks like there are other fake submissions in the same neighborhood as well.

I believe it’s the rough estimate for coordinates, however you are correct. This nomination is not for the path itself, but the path trail, indicating which way to go for it.

It follows all nomination requirements for trail markers from my understanding. Its not actually on private property but on the sidewalk.

These signs are all across the town which lead towards it.

Yeah, the trail marker is eligible… at its real location where it already exists as a waypoint.
