This wayspot should be approved accourding to niantics own post about these trail markers.
They are permanent.
It is frustrating to have to appeal trail markers
Thank you

If I was reviewing, I’d be put off by a few things and would probably reject this submission. I’m someone that submits a lot of trail markers. Take this as you will.
The main photo is from too far away. I can’t tell how good quality it is, but the one here is blurred. It’s annoying to have to zoom all the way in on something to see what it actually is.
The supporting text is too defensive. Not all reviewers will already have rejected this trail marker and it sounds like you are aiming this at them.
The description is lazy - it’s copy-paste and you haven’t said anything about this trail, where it goes, where it comes from, how this location is part of the trail.
The supporting text is lazy - it’s copy-paste and you haven’t checked whether this trail marker is visible from streetview. I check every trail marker and make sure my boiler plate supporting text has been specifically adapted accordingly. Telling people to go look the trail up themselves when you haven’t helped them is off-putting.
Asking people to download an app is a huge negative for me. A link to a website, fine, but don’t expect reviewers to add clutter to their phones just for you.
I find trail markers on streets are less successful than those in countryside, so therefore you have to do more to assist the submission.
Clearly you don’t submit trail markers enough in my opinion.
The main photo here is good, remember, you are submitting the trail, not the sticker. And it is part of reviewer to zoom if necassary.
Yeah, alright, the description could be better I agree with that, but it’s still perfectly acceptable if the supporting info is enough.
The supporting info is clearly fine. It is the reviewers part to check if the sticker is visible, that is expected and if you’re too lazy to do that then you are not a good reviewer.
Alright, downloading an app might be much, but it is still clear evidence that the trail exists with this app. If you don’t want to look it up, fine by me, but it is still acceptable, or you skip, because I find with your judgement that you are not doing enough when reviewing and if you don’t want to search up anything you shouldn’t be reviewing in the first place.
As a last point, the supporting info is actually mostly mine and it works 60% of the time with reviewers and 100% if I have to appeal to the team. It gives enough clear evidence.
How many is enough? I use every submission slot in Pokemon Go (and Ingress before that stopped) and try to find things other than trail markers. I’ve submitted around 200-500 trail markers.
I intensely dislike lazy submissions that assume the wayspot will be waved through.
Sorry for the harsh reaction, it should have been a little bit less personal.
I hate it too when there is no to little information, but the supporting info is enough on this one I find. The rest is part of reviewer.
Thanks
I’m happy to disagree on this one, because reviewers don’t always agree. I’m just offering up why I would reject this one.
The info on this one /looks like/ it’s enough - and it’s a lot better than nothing - but then I noticed it’s boilerplate without the submitter finessing it.
Thanks for your opinion🤗
You can’t usually appeal rejected nominations here. You need to appeal them within wayfarer itself by using the appeal button at the top of your nomination. That seems to be missing, which suggests you’ve used both your appeals recently. Each appeal that you use has a 15 day cool down timer before you’re given a new one.
I obviously do not have an appeal option otherwise i would have used it.
I have more applications going under witch more trail markers and if more get wrongfully denied i will never have enough appeals to work with.
Also applying, reviewing and getting on this forum is not my job!! I dont need this to be my fulltime job either!
Its a game, it should be fun, it should be a hobby.
So this is the appeal i made for niantic to correct the wrongfully rejected application and that is all i do about it.
In all my years of playing pokemon go i have never come acros a clear guidline/explantion that is easy acceseble for everyone where the whole proses of applying, being denied and appealing is set in stone.
To me it all seems made up by people who spend to much time here.
If it was up to me i would wish to not even use this forum or respond to anything here.
To me it feels very unsafe, unfriendly and very toxic forum to be and i do not wanne be here for that reason.
I also feel that there are to many people on this forum spending to much time here and with that they had been given some sort of power and in my opinion they miss use there status. I repeat, to me it feels very unsafe, unfriendly and very toxic forum to be and i do not wanne be here for that reason.
Its a game, it should be fun, it should be a hobby.
So please let this appeal be for niantic to correct the wrongfully rejected application and that is all i do about it.
Hi @Minervawand
I’ve moved your topic to General Discussion because the category Wayspot Appeals is for appealing rejected removal requests or to ask for reinstating removed wayspots.
that seems counter productive and i would wish you didnt.
I know
But staff is reading on here and if they want to reverse a decision they do it where ever it’s posted.
I would just like to add that in my time on the forums the majority of interactions I have had have been professional even when we are in disagreement. In a world of social media such as X (twitter) the forums can in no way be classed as Toxic.
If you feel that this is becoming a full time job and you no longer wish to be here then I suggest…
I have also had nominations rejected that I feel should not have been (Even got agreements here), 1 of them 3 times (1 x ML, 2 x Reviewers inc 1 appeal). I left it, I might try again at a later date but in no way did I think that this 1 nomination would make any difference to the game.
The amount of appeals we get has often been the subject of much debate in the past. Things have improved significantly since appeals were introduced. We’ve gone from one appeal that refreshed monthly to two appeals that refresh every 15 days. So effectively we have up to quadruple that of our old appeal capacity, assuming we’re using them as often as we can. I know that can still sometimes not be enough for some people though, especially if you actively submit a lot of nominations.
That being said, if staff were to start accepting some appeals on the forum when people had run out of their wayfarer appeals, it wouldn’t really be fair to the rest of us who would have to wait patiently for our appeals to refresh.
Some of us have been using wayfarer for a long time (even before it was known as wayfarer). We have some knowledge when it comes to criteria and how wayfarer works, and we generally try to be friendly, helpful and informative when teaching people the ins and outs of wayfarer. I’m sorry you feel there’s some toxicity, that’s not what we aim for on the forum.

Good to know.
But to me this is not up for general discussion and i wish not to discuse any of this.
It kinda does matter cos there is not that much here.
How ever i do get your point but it all feels so stuppid and put together in a dumb way.
As i said: I have never come acros a clear guidline/explantion that is easy acceseble for everyone where the whole proses of applying, being denied and appealing is set in stone.
Its all made up by forum ppl.
And:and i do not wanne be here for that reason.
