Hi everyone, i’m struggling to make some trail markers being accepted.
When i read the guidelines i found this:
Pophttps://community.wayfarer.nianticlabs.com/t/trails-markers/12460
I try to choose the markers with number or name on it and i avoir simple arrows (even if it’s convenient to follow the right route).
Here is the last exemple
There is a little path to follow around this lake, i thought it was a good Idea but maybe i was alone thinking this way.
Bad idea? Any advice?
You’ve got the wayspot in the supporting photo along with a lot of scenery/background to make it possible to confirm the location on ‘satellite’ images, which a lot of submitters fail to do with off-grid submissions, so that’s a definite plus. I’d take the wayspot photo in the same direction as that supporting photo, to make it even easier for reviewers to match the two photos.
With off-grid submissions (no streetview, no photosphere, not visible on ‘satellite’ images), you have to do more work to sell the submission and prove it exists.
Is there a website with the trail described - put that in the supporting text.

I would have submitted this and expected it to quickly be accepted here in the states. The rejection reasons translate to “not distinct” and “inaccurate location” for me. I think those were bad rejection reasons. I would appeal or try again myself.
If you appeal, be aware that you have 2 appeals, each on a 20 day timer before you can use it again. If you resubmit, get some advice from more local explorers. I don’t see what your supporting statement was, but you can use it to remind reviewers that the trail marker is important because it guides people along the trail, not for its own sake.

I’ve have made an appeal if i had remaning amo but i’ve already used it for similar issues…( Appeal worked therefore).

It looks good, but I can’t see the title. Because there will probably be several of these trail markers around the lake, try to give each one a unique description based on the location. Photo and supporting photo are excellent, as said elsewhere if you can find some supporting evidence (e.g. a map) then that will help.
Did it spend a long time in voting? If it did, that might indicate that it was a very marginal vote and a resubmit might well work.

The title is " the fishers ’ path, trail markers", this trail marker has only one sibbling, i choose this one because this one is at a nicest place than the other (personal opinion). It did not took too much time for voting, around a week, which is very fair i think.
I think i will be patient and wait for appeal régénération, i don’t want to have an abusive behavior if i try to submit it again.
If you submit it again, try to have the trail sign for ad least 80%-90% in picture,
Was best tip given by someone on the forum
It inprove my submission getting accepted
Hopefully yours also

How could we improve the Situation? Peeps often reject the trail Markers because they think These Stickers arent permanent.
Niantic Always accepts them in review, but i dont have that much appeals.
Niantic should Talk to those people that reject them because of “temporary”
They would have less work sorting Out those Bad reviewers.

(It’s now Scopely, even if the login screen, emails, website names etc make you think Niantic are involved.)
Definitely not true. I don’t appeal a lot, but out of six that are for trail markers, two were rejected on appeal and four accepted.
That’s even for the UK, with the rejected markers being long distance footpaths (Wyche Way, England Coast Path), so not remotely controversial.
I can see why you wrote the second half of your email, but it’s not a good idea and shouldn’t be considered.
I submit a lot of trail markers and also reject a fair few for various reasons. A lazy submission with a miserable title or description is going to get a rejection from me, and Scopely talking to me because of that would be wrong.
Please note that “temporary” also means “not distinct”, because these are mixed together into an ambiguous rejection explanation, which is /unfortunate/.. It might even get picked because thumbing-down for Socialise, Exercise AND Explore is apparently not sufficient to mean you are rejecting the wayspot, so you have to pick a rejection reason.
might be that all this appeal-stuff is outsourced to some company in india. It´s a lottery, i might aswell just resubmit instead of appealing.
Where the appeals reviewers are located is neither here nor there I don’t see a need to mention a country.
There is a huge amount of variability of trail markers around the globe and I can get as frustrated as the next person when one of mine gets rejected and it is also frustrating when an appeal on anything fails. And sometimes when I calm down
I can see ways I can make the case stronger.
Depending on your individual situation it might be better to appeal or to resubmit.
Appeals are precious but if I am not going back to that area anytime soon it might be all I can do.
If its nearby then altering and resubmitting is usually best.
