“Simon Hall” (38.648276,-90.311233): Title Edit to “John E. Simon Hall”
“Welcome to Rocheport” (38.978300,-92.561683): Description Edit to “Founded in 1825 and part of the National Register of Historic Places.”
These edit appeals were approved on 2/2/26 and 2/1/26, respectively. As of 2/4/26, both edits are now correctly reflected on the Wayfarer map. However, the Title Edit for “Simon Hall” is still not appearing in Pokémon GO. I’m not currently close enough to the “Welcome to Rocheport” Wayspot to verify in‑game, but I’m similarly concerned that its approved description edit may also not be syncing.
Other recent changes to the Wayfarer map are appearing in Pokémon GO, which suggests that normal syncs are happening. This makes me think that the issue is specific to these two edits rather than due to a general sync delay.
Could the team please investigate why these approved edits are selectively failing to sync to Pokémon GO? Thank you in advance
I think that edits take a little longer to filter across into Pokemon Go than wayspot submissions, so this is most likely to sort itself out in a day or two.
Perhaps, but I have seen other approved edits sync to the gameboard since then, so it is strange that these two edits are stuck. For example, I have a different edit suggestion that was also approved on 2/2/26 and has already synced to the gameboard, contributing to my suspicion that something is wrong.
Wayfarer has recently synced with Pokémon GO. If my issue is related, it suggests that the sync was only partially successful and that the sync problem is still ongoing. If my issue is isolated, it suggests that these two Wayspots are not updating normally and may require a manual sync.
My submissions approved midday yesterday are still not in game. I expected to see them an hour ago but never did. That’s how I got to that post as well as this one.
They did have a catch up sync earlier, last night in my time zone, so I thought this issue was fixed. I saw one other report of today’s regular sync being missed.
Oftentimes when we make edits to our database, there is a short period of time that passes between when the edits are input and when the changes are actually reflected. My tools are showing me that we’ve made changes in the database.
Please allow for a short period to pass before these changes are implemented. If you continue to experience this issue even after a week from now, please don’t hesitate to reach back out to us via this thread.
They were location edits, right? Under normal circumstances, I would definitely say that something is wrong with how those Wayspots are syncing. Then again, there are ongoing sync issues right now… Like NianticAaron suggested for me, maybe it’s best to wait until next week and if the locations still have not moved in the game, then follow up on the forum.
