Approved Wayspot visible in Wayfarer but not syncing to Pokémon GO in empty L17 S2 cell – possible dead cell sync issue

Hello Wayfarer moderators,

I am reporting a persistent sync issue with an approved Wayspot that is not appearing in Pokémon GO despite being fully accepted and visible on the Wayfarer map.

Wayspot name / title: Hennigsdorf-Herz Fotospot

Location / Coordinates: 52.637630,13.206697

City / Area: Hennigsdorf, Brandenburg (BB), Germany

S2 Cell Level: L17 (Level 17 S2 cell) – the cell appears completely empty on the game board (no other active Wayspots/PokéStops visible in Pokémon GO in this cell).

Status in Wayfarer: The Wayspot is accepted, live on the Wayfarer map (visible in mapview at wayfarer.nianticlabs.com), and shows as a valid POI.

Status in game: Not appearing as a PokéStop in Pokémon GO, even though the L17 cell is empty (which should normally allow it to sync as a PokéStop). No “used in other games” conflict or density issue seems present.

Date of acceptance /when noticed: Accepted on 25.11.2025 issue noticed immediately after. It has been more than 48 hours / several sync cycles with no appearance. The wayspot synced in game and disappeared in early December.

The pin is placed publicly accessible on/near the object. No geoblock, school block, or other obvious rejection criteria. Nearby cells have active Wayspots, but this specific L17 cell is empty.

This looks like a classic “dead L17 cell” sync bug where an eligible Wayspot in an otherwise empty cell fails to trigger inclusion in Pokémon GO. Similar issues have been reported before (e.g., cells becoming dead after removals or failed syncs), and often a manual sync trigger or investigation resolves it.

Could the team please investigate this cell / coordinates and force a sync if it’s a stuck sync state? Thank you very much for your help.

Best regards,

Vinni
