I’m traveling to a different state during Christmas to visit family. If I set bonus location to the area I will be visiting, will it be set to that location forever or can I change it to a new location whenever I feel like it?
Bonus locations reset at least every 3 months.

If you only want to do it transiently while visiting, in theory it should change to that location on its own through your play area.
(as always there will be nuances related to which games you actively play)

Like @Xenopus , I too would advise against setting your Bonus Location to the location you are travelling to unless you plan on reviewing nomination from that area long after you have returned. That location would automatically become your active play area and you would be assigned nominations for review.

Good answer I’m impressed Aaron, but critically asking, wouldn’t it take a couple of days before he gets the nominations adjusted to his playing area? When I traveled to Italy last year it took 5-6 days before I got Italy nominations in my reviews.
when i went to myrtle beach for vacation, it was almost immediate. i wonder if there is a difference since i hacked portals as well as spun pokestops?

My observations are that the change can happen very quickly. You do need to actively play the games. You can see the change in the showcase page as you then see a different selection.

If anyone can help use there magic to get me some intel in regards to active waypoint Pokéstops in Pokémon Go at this location.

It’s a park that’s not too far from the area I will be visiting. If someone can screenshot the active pokestop waypoints. Yall can save me the trouble of driving there if there isn’t much there to enjoy the Pokémon go game during my down time.

So I came to this location and noticed a waypoint location was off. I’ve seen a few instances where other forum members were able to fast track legitimate concerns. I’m hoping this qualifies as one of them.
Concern: Way point location does not match actual real life coordinates. It’s accuracy about a block off.

The way to submit a correction like this is
On the wayfarer site
This will give these options
That then gives option to do a location edit of more than 10m.
You can then describe the issue and add screenshots and photos.
You will be given a ticket number.
Responses are normally quite quick.

That’s a good result quick and hopefully relatively painless.
It’s a little confusing, within a few hours reporting it last night , way points were changed, but in game don’t reflect it yet.
Do changes take up to 48 to appear in Pokémon Go game?
there have been issues with pokemon go sync on mondays - the theory is that max monday is messing with it. if you don’t see it move tonight, check tomorrow after sync time (around 2:30-3:00 pm for me on EST but i am awful at converting)
