Can it be a watpost?

It is a shade and shelter installed on the main crosswalk. Citizens can avoid the sun while waiting for the traffic lights here. It is automatically operated according to the temperature, and is firmly attached to the pedestrian path. It is a public facility that is responsible for maintenance. The location is also safe, and it is placed outside of private land. It is the only place that can be submitted as a place of nomination in the city center, which is only a business building, but I wonder if it will be approved or not. If there is a high possibility of approval, I will submit some. I am curious about your thoughts. Korean reviewers are strict about this. If there are many positive opinions, I will try to persuade reviewers based on your opinions.

Hi! While this is definitely a nice addition to an urban environment to protect citizens from heat, to me what you describe looks like infrastructure (happy to be corrected if I misunderstood the description). It’s not really about the nationality of the reviewers, it’s just that infrastructure is rarely designed to be a great place to explore, exercise or socialize. You can certainly do some of these things at this object, but rather while you happen to be there for other reasons such as waiting for a traffic light, as you describe. Sometimes we can’t fill every cell and that’s life

Would you be able to share the details about the business - maybe better luck there?

A wayspot should be at least one of the following: a good place to socialise, a good place to exercise or a good place to explore. It’s hard to see how this fits into any of these categories.

If the shelter is unique or unusual then maybe it might qualify under exploration, but I found the manufacturer’s website at sunchail.com and they don’t look to be uncommon.

Office buildings can be a valid wayspot if they are architecturally interesting and therefore worth exploring, perhaps find out the history or unique features of some of those buildings and try those?

As you say, the infrastructure is right. The heat-weary people take a break and it’s not very unique, but it’s noticeable and I thought it could be used as an appointment place, so I thought about it again, the infrastructure like streetlights is right. I wish there was a bench next to me… Thank you for your reply!

Business buildings in this area are not unique. Commercial billboards are covering it, and only signs that indicate the name of the building. Since most of the structures are similar, approval is almost impossible when submitted to Waypost. Unfortunately, I’m going to give up on this area.
