Celebrate Bee Day

Yesterday ( ok I am a day late😂) was world bee day. Bees are crucial to growing food and are under threat in many places.
Insect hotels come in all shapes and can be good wayspots (some are generic) and there are lots of educational information boards about encouraging biodiversity and insects.
So have you any wayspots linked in some way to bees or insects?

I was away last weekend to attend a wedding.

As we were in the pub garden the next day waiting for people I spotted this near the back.

Submitted, on hold until a few days ago, and then approved yesterday.

I’ve had a couple of bee related wayspots accepted. This is the prettier one of the two:

Have several different type of insect hotels, but this one is a little bit nicer, and is a quite big mural in the city nearby me, and must be mentioned here even though it’s a Bumlebee.

This is my favourite so far! I absolutely love bees, especially bumblebees.

I love this thread
My contribution was sadly not accepted (temporary :face_exhaling:) but now I can repurpose it for this post :hugs:

Urban beehives are popping up all around the Triangle area! I haven’t submitted any of those, but here are some bee adjacent noms:

I’m just going to post the photo of the beehives i had approved. I featured the sign so the reviewer could see this installation is educational. But the paintings on the beehive boxes are really cute, themed for the local area.

This is a garden in a public city park, planted by school kids.
