Deeply Affected by False Accusations – Seeking Understanding

The Abuse rejection is as if there are supposed to be "or"s in between all the options. Like wayfarer abuse or harassment or x or y or z

I think what it meant in your case is they think you painted this to abusively create your own fake waypoint (which I do not believe was the case)

It didnt mean they think you were rude or nasty to anyone, or did something illegal. Interpreted best as abusing the wayfarer process for personal gain by submitting something that doesnt meet criteria/is fake etc.

Its a very badly worded rejection and worries a lot of people when they get this - youre not the first to panic a bit about it!

IMO: I think the problem here is the order that it has been done…

  • Verbal Authorisation which means nothing especially in Wayfarer.
  • Tile Painted.
  • Tile Nominated.
  • Full Authorisation may be received at a later date.

If it was done in the order of.

  • Full authorisation is given.
  • Sure local news would report that it was happening.
  • The Art is created.
  • Official Name “The LocalTown Art Trail”.
  • The local authorities advertise on the official website.
  • Maybe a leaflet can be produced with map etc.

With the 2nd option I would find it hard to Reject.

1 thing that has started to concern me is if this is part of the pavement what is the estimated lifespan before it would be worn out? Is there anything that can be done to protect it.

Could an official art trail include more artists. Could the art be positioned differently (on utility cabinets, a tile positioned at the side of the path at a park (avoiding the main walking area, Art on authorised building walls).

I love the idea but just think that the wayfarer stage has come too early.

Good luck.

Can I ask where your evidence is for this statement.

According to the “Ask The Police” UK Website…

Below is a brief overview of the different laws concerning graffiti:

  • Graffiti is an offence of criminal damage and can be reported to your local police force via 101. If prosecuted, the offender could face a fine or even imprisonment.

  • Under 16’s are not permitted to buy aerosol paint cans.

  • Local authorities can issue fixed penalty notices for offences of graffiti.

  • Local authorities are responsible for cleaning it up from public buildings and fixtures. They can also clean it from private buildings and can bill the owner for the work.

This idea is were the whole conversation took a positive point for me were i got new inspiration

Until some members took the twist in a very negative way. But lets forget about those members and concentrate on the subject:

I was also accused of bullying and sharing other players personal information. That was stated in the mail and when i asked about it, i got no answer. Those are hard arguments

Me and other members, inclucing ambassadors, have given you your answer multiple times already. You just don’t want to see we did.

Again - this is the generic text that is used if one of the various Abuse reasons is selected.

Hello All - I am closing the topic at this point in time. Niantic has responded to the questions that the OP had. The on going discussion will not change the decision on this nomination.
