Wrongfully Suspended for “Malicious Image Submission” – Need Help Before Weekend Event

Hello Wayfarer Community and Niantic Team,

I recently received a 30-day suspension from Wayfarer and my game account due to “Malicious Image Submission.” I was surprised and confused by this, as I always submit real and respectful photos from my area.

I don’t know exactly what image triggered the suspension. If I made a mistake, it was completely unintentional. I already submitted a formal appeal through the support form, but I’m posting here in hopes of getting clarification or assistance from the community or Niantic staff.

This suspension is especially frustrating because I’ve been waiting with great excitement for this weekend’s event. I was really looking forward to participating and contributing, and now I’m afraid I might miss it completely.

I love Wayfarer and always try to contribute in good faith. I kindly ask that my case be reviewed again, and if possible, that my access be restored before the weekend.

That usually happen when someone use 3rd party photo in submission. Is it possible to share your nomination being mentioned?

Did you receive this? If so i suggest you appeal to the link inside email

The email will explain which nomination cause ban. If you think this is incorrect and you are comfortable with sharing, you can share it to us to get different perspective to talk in appeal

Are the photos you use for submissions all taken by you? Is there any way they could be posted elsewhere online?

Did you, by any chance, submit nominations with third party images? Images taken from the internet, screenshots of street-views etc? Or maybe, you submitted the image you used for a nominations on a third party website?
