With the recent clarification that these are not eligible, this ought to be an easy removal request:
I am following with great interest.
The criteria is not new, but the clear, concise, and locatable stating of it is. These were never eligible. But I have never been able to get any removed when reported. And as soon as one individual hole gets in game, it leads to an avalanche of others being submitted and accepted.
Also following with great interest. With the recent clarification it really is about time that something got done about all of these duplicates.
you love to see it
Does this apply to miniature/putt-putt golf courses as well?
I would think so. One for the course.
So other things in the miniature golf course could count besides individual holes.
Oh yes. Following as well. During the challenge I came across different areas with all baskets and tees put in. Typically I found this as the nomination was for a final basket or tee/starting area.
It was a big annoyance doing this via the wayspot removal tab reporting each one. I never received a final answer. Second attempt was to mention them all on one request but only the noted coordinates with asterik were removed. Forget the rest.
The reason more are being nominated is they are clearly being approved, or were for that matter.
Thanks for the appeal, @SpindaHuntr After reviewing the additional evidence provided, weâve decided to retire the Wayspots in question.

Looks like these may have been removed after all but I still got a rejection email, canât find them to give coordinates now. But #27 Tee Box is still on the map.
Also two more popped up on the map after the first string of removals, already reported them
Weâve reviewed and decided to retire the Wayspots in question.
Sweet, time to start on the nearby golf course with tons of Wayspot holes. I just wish they didnât require appeals here.
I have a follow up question to this topic - if individual disc golf holes are not eligible as POIs why do I see appeals for disc golf holes being approved by Niantic? Shouldnât there be some consistency for the community?
Please post an example of a disc golf hole approved by Niantic. Disc Golf is a great activity, and a single hole submitted to represent the whole course could be acceptable. In addition, a stand-alone single that is not part of a course could be acceptable.
Glad you are here and happy to have you join the conversation @TheJoJoRex1 !
because they simply donât train their appeal reviewers and those folks approve all kinds of ineligible things and make up reasons to reject perfectly eligible ones. you can see posts complaining about both ends of this going back long before the beginning of this forum.
simply put, what niantic approves != what is eligible.
This comes up often!
What should be, and what is are not always the same⌠unfortunately.
lots of baskets here too JJJR+57 Mooresville, IN, USA just came across them when doing reviews
@NianticAtlas I recently reported a park where there are 21 way spots that are disc golf holes or signs for the disc golf course. I found these while reviewing so I reported them through the report abuse page from this site.
After about a week, today, I received an email just saying that Niantic has taken action on these sites. But when I go back to all of them are still there.
My question is, should we be reporting these, and if we report them, should we expect them to be removed? Thanks for any clarification you can offer.
Check again after sync - which has been erratic for Ingress. Give it a day. They have been removing individual holes I have reported.
OK, so itâs now been 9 days since I received the response email that says â We have made the necessary changes to the Wayspots in accordance with our policies and you should see these changes reflected soon.â
However, every single one of the 20+ disc golf hole way spots remain in the database.
So, @NianticLC , should we be reporting these and if so, should we expect that they be removed?
The address of the park with all the wayspots is 2006 Jones Dr, Emporia, KS 66801, USA.
Itâs fine either way, but guidance would be greatly appreciated.
