Hi,
Do you experience more often now that the two photos are equal? I mean a double main photo without anything providing insight about the overall area?
Sometimes I feel it may be a trick for hiding something. Sometimes I think it’s just lazy. What’s your thoughts?
It could be any of those things and the why doesn’t really matter. It’s similar to not adding relevant notes in the supplemental section. It’s better to add a website or something for your nomination than saying ‘few Pokestops here’.
Ultimately I take more time to review a nomination with the same photo used for both. So if they were trying to slip something by, they may have drawn attention to it.

I would prefer if it was an 100% Reject reason.
Then eMiLy would be able to Reject it immediately.

Exactly - last time I ended up with a Google picture search, and found the photos on the web from somewhere far away…

It’s definitely a red flag to get the same photo for both pictures. Usually makes me look a lot harder at the nomination.

Sometimes it is someone who doesn’t know what they are doing.
Often it is someone committing abuse - POI doesn’t exist, fake images, stolen images. wrong location etc.
It’s always a red flag as per @AgentX1976
It’s a huge red flag if both photos are the same. For example, the photo could simply be of somewhere completely different (perhaps stolen form the web) and there was no way to make a supporting photo that would look convincing. Some people have tried to do it with AI-generated photos where the AI can’t make a good supporting photo either. It’s not always the case that it’s a fake nomination, but in my experience it is fake more often than not.
