so, i made these nominations last week, right?
two entrances to a business park/campus that my aunt works at & the big sign out near the main road - all 3 nominations are rock gardens.
#1 - accepted, yay!
#3 - accepted too, double yay!
#2 - rejected, which confuses me because it’s the same as #1 just further down the street.
do you think this warrants an appeal, or should i just leave it alone?

I have had a good look at these on streetview.
When I looked they seemed to be landscaping all along the boundary which at the entrances were then more developed.
The gabions acting as backdrop for the entrance sign.
And an entrance to a business is not a place I would interpret as a place to go to socialise.
If there are places at the businesses where employees could socialise eg a picnic area where they could meet up and spend time.
When I see the phrase rock garden I think of the Japanese Rock gardens With manicured gravel and individually arranged rocks.
The business park itself appears to be a normal collection of businesses. Not a place you would explore.
The 3rd submission you show is very similar to the first so it is not surprising that it was regarded as not significant.
So in my view at best these are marginal accepts so a mixed outcome is not that unexpected. But I think you are lucky to get 2 approved.
