I nearly always submit nominations once I get home. Prior to the wayfarer website having submissions, I would use Pokémon Go to make my submissions and I would scroll through the map every time. Never had any issues with doing so.
Same. I don’t know what the problem is. As long as the place is in range, i can scroll around just fine. I usually start by using the regular map view so i can see street names. Then as i get closer, i change to satellite view so i can locate the object with more precision.
There are times when the map in PGO is not as up-to-date as real Google. That could make it hard to find the precise spot. But the scrolling is not difficult.

I must admit it is a while since I tried. The last time I did wayspots started disappearing from the map after a very short distance
Yes, that happens when you submit at a distance within the PGO app. That’s another reason web submit is superior.
I think i will make a video capture of my attempt to remotely nominate a wayspot. Would a link to utube be against any of this forums rules & regulations?
I just need to go to the location take a cover and an overview photograph. Then retreat to a remote location, probably my local café.
