As you can see from the aerial photograph, the wayspot is on a basketball court and the climbing frame is over 30 metres away. The wayspot does not reside within or close to any enclosed play area.
I thought both the photo and title needed correcting to reflect the on the ground situation and there was no description at all. The photo edit was rejected 3 days later and the title and description edits have remained in queue.
Having read some other threads, I am now concerned that the edits I have submitted would be deemed to be ‘repurposing’ and even though made only with honest intentions would lead to a ban. Should I withdraw the edits or have I got the wrong end of the stick and have let the paranoia take over?
I never really entertained the idea of a location edit, probably because I’d read a lot of ‘bad press’ about them.
In this case, the climbing frame lies about 30 metres to the south-east and is difficult to pick out on aerial photos. Again, it’s my paranoia kicking in, but I can just envisage the trigger-happy email-bollocking machine thingy thinking “Oh, I see you’re trying to move a wayspot into a different S14 cell - have a ban.”
In my view, unless I have missed something, the edit function is really lacking in not having any form of justification section, so that a wayfarer can explain the rationale behind the change from the outset.
Hi @Liverlouike15
Location edits >10m have to be done through helpchat (wayfarer menue → help → orange icon).
That should reduce your concern about bans, cause you do it with niantic.
