Community, good afternoon. I see that as the event nears its end, I’m noticing that the proposals are no longer enough to complete the challenge. There are players who haven’t had any proposals to review since Friday, and there are proposals that have been in the queue since April 10th, not being voted on.
This event, which is the last one where Ingress and Pokémon are working together, should be one that brings joy to the community, but I see a lot of stress and sadness. An event of this level shouldn’t end like this. I hope you can please consider the players who have passed at least 300 proposal reviews. It’s clear that you’ve put in a lot of effort to be able to try to make the “global” event happen, which in my opinion should have been automatic, so that you’d see the global proposals instead of having to locate them and try to search (which several players didn’t even know could be done).
In the eyes of Niantic this has been a success with us just about reaching the top level of the Global Challange.
Not due to any good planning on my behalf and through sheer luck I managed to get the majority of my 500 before the slow down began.
I do feel for those that have struggled and agree that a reduction on the Personal challenge would be a compromise (say 100, 200, 300) but I admit I would feel a little bit narked, maybe a new level 4 at 500. Not asking much, throw in an extra incubator for those that did manage the 500.
Taking on this challenge in the current context is very difficult. You want to give your all to participate, but the site doesn’t give you those opportunities. We knew it was coming, but unfortunately, Niantic didn’t rise to the challenge.
