This might be a weird question, but I’m curious about how nomination reports work.
I play Ingress Prime, and in my area, I’m the only Enlightened agent, while the rest are Resistance agents. Whenever I submit Wayspot nominations that are accurate and meet the criteria, most of them get rejected. I suspect that the local Resistance agents might be falsely reporting my nominations.
I understand that there might not be much that can be done about this, but I just wanted to ask: if 6-7 agents falsely report a nomination that I submitted, is that enough to get it rejected?
Hello and welcome @nuk37
First the number of voters that it requires to either decline or accept an nomination is not something Wayfarer has or will reveal.
What we have observed in the community is the geographic spread of nominations that people get to review. There are several sources but all are quite large areas including countrywide. So for example in the USA people get nominations from across the USA to review.
This wide area is partly to stop small local groups determining their own results, and also to spread the load of reviewing wide.
So the scenario you paint is unlikely to be possible.
If you would like to post a few of your nominations here photos, text and if possible location, people here will try to help establish if there is an issue and how to resolve it.
Thank you for the response @elijustrying. Yes, I understand. I will try to come up with better titles and photos. It’s possible that the issue is on my side when submitting nominations.
If you read through posts in this category you might get some inspiration on how to improve.
If they are rejected very quickly and marked with the reason Wayfarer Criteria and the email says our team, then it has been rejected by the computer program so not people.
I had a similar experience.. I had a bunch of perfectly acceptable nominations (trail markers mostly) rejected for bizarre reasons but only in one particular area. I would sometimes then see duplicates of my own submissions, but with different photos and text from some other player. This was PoGo rather than Ingress, but my suspicion is that one or more Wayfarers were trying to game the system - couldn’t prove it though.
It could be rejected through AI. Its not always community that doing review. And i have my own share of rejection that i appealed and got approved. Anyway rejection is not final. You can appeal if you sure about your nomination. Niantic staff will review it, and appealed nomination is not something pogo nor ingress player can interfere.
