Farmer's market - local sales of eggs amongst other things

Help me understand.

Some local context. Farmers in sweden usually sell things from their farms. We do have allemansrätt (freedom to roam) and they usually are open 24-7.

Either they get automatically gets rejected or “no cultural or historic meaning”.

My question is. Help me make sense of it. For me in my mind it is a Great place to Explorer on the country side. Easy accessibility and Important for the local community.

I’ll add some of the things I’'ve written:

Help me understand the reasoning behind it.

The last sentence has no relevance for whether something meets the key criteria of Exploration, Social and/or Exercise.

You are focussing on Exploration so need to show how this is something that is great for exploring. For example, if it is somewhere people would want to show others, to visit specifically because it is interesting and not just to purchase things.

I mean every guide to farmers market focuses on the quality of the product and a Great place to Explore and support local farmers?

The first hit on farmers market sweden; Here you can buy fantastic raw materials directly from the person who produced them. You see the range in front of you, can talk to the person who produced the glory and can choose with both yours and the planet’s best before your eyes. Short transport, small-scale produced raw materials and care at every step. In addition, an experience for all the senses and a wink to history where our ancestors always gathered at the market to make their purchases and sell their goods.

My experience of farmers stalls (we have them here in the UK as well, probably fairly similar) is that they are the equivalent of a shop. The ones that are more interesting and worth exploring generally have additional facilities such as a cafe. A shop can be eligible, but without something extra (such as hosting events), you need a very convincing and genuine story.

And i wrote something similar but not exactly like that. You are right i did not put the every though behind why it is a good place to Explorer

I understand. But isn’t the will to go to a farm and buy it there instead of just going to my local food retailer a good reason why I rather Explorer the country side and support the local farmers? I know it is not enough reason but I am just curious.

One of the local farmers market I added have a quality stamp on it which promotes really good quality eggs.

It makes the farm stall potentially eligible, but it is still a borderline submission. Any borderline submission is going to be harder work.

It is… I’ll guess I just have to let it go. :frowning: thanks for the help.

As this is technically a shop and therefor “Generic Business” you have to ask…

  • Why should I pass others to get to this specific 1?

  • Would I recommend that an out of town friend visit even if he didn’t want eggs?

Good Luck.

I understand why you ask that and those - “would you..”. The problem is I seem to think differently concering “would I bring/recommend” then most people. So i need to ask “would most people recommend” instead. And I find that difficult sometimes. but thanks for the added notes on how one can think

It’s a grey area. I don’t actually agree with “would most people recommend” as the basis, as this rules out a lot of interesting things.

Most people (out of the entire population of the UK) don’t care less about historic postboxes. However, a significant number of people, especially among the wayfarer community and amongst nerds and people on the spectrum (this is not an insult!) do care about them and do find them interesting.

I tend to think along “would a significant number of people find genuine interest in this and want to show it to others?”. How many is “significant” is undetermined and cannot be dictated.

U summarized my thoughts well. That is helpful - u made them more clear  Thanks
