What are the odds of 2 of my Wayspots appearing on the Featured Page at the same time? I’m in shock. These aren’t exactly top quality photos.
For better or worse, Featured Wayspots are never curated or selected via any metric of quality.
There’s no guarantee that they even reflect acceptance criteria. A soulless program chooses stuff from your ‘nearby’ recently approved stuff that may have been accepted by the community, the machine learning algorithm, a bot net, or the appeals staff.
Your nominations look solid, though, so congratulations and keep up the good work!
My guess is that you made it easy for people to accept them and they got very positive reviews!

I have noticed that if the nominations have been voted on by your review community, they seem to get featured more than those voted on by the upgrade community or approved via appeal. It’s been quite awhile since I actually had an approved Wayspot featured, so I was excited!
Submit top quality wayspots and you can sweep the whole thing. Achieve three for three!

I wouldn’t class my nominations as top quality. 
Its eligible. Thats all that matter. I think,the point of featured wayspot is to show other reviewer whats being approved recently
you probably have friends in high places. 
I had two next to each other recently too!! I thought it was wild haha
