I’ve been trying to create new pokestops in my town during my hollidays. This is a little town, with only a few pokestops, but there’s a good community trying to play PoGo. And a lot of things like mayor hall, public swimming pool and football field hasn’t had a PokeStop and I tried it.
The point is that, till now, 5 Wayspots have been approved from all that we asked to, in last seven days.
But, unfortunately, all of them only appears at Ingress. Not a single one in PoGO. Nobody in my town plays Ingress. And, of course, I can’t ask again for these spots cos if I do, they refuse it for being duplicated.
What can I do to help the boys in my town to have more PokeStops where they live? As far as I can see, I don’t think there are enough stops to consider all cells in my town are full…
You have to learn about the S2 cell system. Pokemon GO only displays one thing as either a Stop or a Gym inside an L17 sized cell. DO NOT USE THIS KNOWLEDGE TO MISPLACE WAYSPOTS. If you see that an object or location is in an already occupied cell, it is up to you to decide if you want to submit it.
I like to do so in case the other thing in the cell is ever removed. But others don’t want to waste their nominations on those things.
If you feel comfortable telling us where you are trying to add things, we might be able to find something you haven’t considered. For example, for a long time pools were rejected but now people are voting more favorably on them. Perhaps there are things like that in your area that you just don’t realize can make great wayspots.
Looking at the below snippits, there’s a lot going for you area compared to some places. However, there is a possible church that hasn’t been subbed, but you have a fair number of stops compared to some other rural areas.
Actually, I asked for bar itself, even for a statue of a Saint sculpted in wall in front of the bar, both refused.
During this summer, teenagers of the town was doing a lot of grafittis all around as a community work. Almost all of them, refused. Even the public pool and the multiesports field, refused.
OK, it might be more helpful if you post the ones that have been rejected so we can see if maybe there’s a problem with the way you are presenting them. There are a lot of little things you can do that people won’t like.

This is listed as a social club, which is the very definition of a great place to socialize. It looks like it hosts classes for the public like cooking or exercise.
This is interesting, it’s in a different cell from the social club building, but it’s on the fence around the building. It looks “official” to me but some may think it is not.
The cool thing is that I found this by clicking on the Google Maps entry for this social club. It’s in one of the 5 photos listed there.
If we had a bodega like this near me, I would be able to get it accepted. But it may be too common over there. Baked goods, cooked meats, cooked seafood, I even saw a photo of a hamburger. It all looked delicious.
I would need to see in Maps but that means “The Fountains” in Catalan. I’m not sure if is just the name of the area (as I saw that name in other posts above) or what.
As most part of the graffitis in Spain, is very probably is not “official” but I would probably give that one instead of the letters shared by @P1dg3ySlayer above.
