Hi, we’ve nominated 11 Wayspots. Only 1 is showing in the game.
However 6 have been accepted and it’s been longer than 48hrs. We play as a family and it has completely deflated our kids and ourselves and left us wondering what is the point in putting all the effort in when nothing has come of it.
It’s left us unmotivated and not wanting to play the game. We have been to plenty of locations where there are Wayspots on top of each other and in a bundle.
Hey,
Please refer to the below article for more information:
Hello and welcome @cobraKaiKing87
It is highly likely that having passed the acceptability criteria to become a wayspot it has not met the selection criteria of pokemon go to become a pokestopmor gym.
If you would be happy to post one or two we will explain.
Provide the title and location - co ordinates are good.
It would be useful for you to learn about how S2 cells work in the selection process
Same thing. No update yet. It’s been more than 48 hours.
Please read the prior posts above. It’s likely they both apply.
So when you accept and send the email to say the waystop has been accepted, why are you not including the details in your response that it may not appear in the game.
I’m sure millions of trainers globally have been let down by these issues and feel how we do currently.
It does say that, doesn’t it?
Please refer to the part that reads, “Remember that not all accepted Wayspots will appear in all Niantic games”
That doesn’t really elaborate though. we have read that bit and wasn’t concerned ,because we don’t want to play all niantic games. just Pokémon GO …it doesn’t say anything about S2 cells c which is a completely different topic
S2 cells are not something that Niantic has discussed at all (to my knowledge). They have neither confirmed nor denied that S2 cells serve as the basis of pokestop placement. However, through extensive analysis by members of the wayfarer community, the S2 system seems to hold up, which is why link is to an external site. That information is provided by the community to help you understand the reason behind Niantic’s more generic statement.
@cobraKaiKing87
I understand what a deeply frustrating situation you are in.
As it explains in the linked article the information about cells is all based on community observation. Niantic will not comment on this and the statement made which factually correct, is as much as will be said.
A key function of this forum is that fellow wayfinders are able to offer knowledgeable peer support. They have often been through the same frustrating situation of nominating and something not appearing.
It is why we are willing to use our experience and observations to try and help others. If you learn from this you can help your community to do the same.
If you want that support we are very happy to help, to help find a way forward. We are also happy to look using google for potentially other objects to nominate.
Ok thank you and for taking the time to explain. Me and my family understand it a lot better now
