Are these free newspaper stand a good pokestop?
I would say no. Those are likely mass-produced, and stationed throughout the city. They look generic and aren’t something an explorer would go out of their way to go see.
I can pick up a newspaper at a bunch of different places, so it’s not unique in that aspect either.
For every potential candidate, you would need to ask:
Is it a good place to explore? → I wouldn’t say it fulfills this enough with only seeing the picture. Maybe. There is also the question if it is distinct enough.
Is it a good place to or do excercise with? → No
Is it a good place for socialising? → No
This is a quick example of the main criteria points you can analyse candidates with.
I also agree with the others that this doesn’t meet criteria. We have these at many of our supermarkets in town, and it’s really free advertising for the businesses that pay for their ads to be in those papers. Nothing much exciting to explore, and could be seen as not being distinct.
