I’ve got trail markers near me - metal discs - that less than 3 years after I first saw them have become so degraded and broken that it would be hard to submit them if they didn’t already exist.
It appears your painted trail markers are better maintained than my metal discs. Yours are deemed as temporary and mine as permanent. It doesn’t seem very fair.

Both the ML and the Team are relying upon bad precedent rather than considering the real world and the dedicated explorers who donate time and effort in support of their database.
They will need to learn how to be supportive of their base, or people will stop submitting things.
It is my opinion that hiking trails are among the best things in Wayfarer, in terms of how they support exercise, exploration, and socialization. They may not make for pretty primary photographs, but they encourage us to get out and go!
Yeah honestly I don’t wanna be harsh on Niantic because without them there wouldn’t be anything at all but still if they could clarify the rules especially for trail markers that would be amazing

It’s a true breakthrough for me I’m so happy about it because if Niantic considers this one valid I guess the other ones are also valid ! I hope this is the first one of a long list !!
I nearly implored them in my appeal text
