Generic fountain in front of a K-12 school entrance

When submitting a Wayspot Appeal, make sure to include as much of the following information as possible:

This is an ordinary fountain (which doesn’t meet elegibility criteria) and it is front of a K-12 school entrance, which should make it ineligible. I think it should be removed.

In the following image you can see a satellite view of the school and the location of the wayspot and school entrance.

You can check the following 360 photo to locate the fountain and school entrance.

Thanks

If it’s on public property, its proximity to a K-12 building is irrelevant. Not a great place to have a Wayspot, but on its own won’t make it illegable. Does the fountain meet the eligible criteria on its own? I don’t think it does, but will defer other peoples opinions on this one.

Someone or something (AI) has been deleting murals in school entrances. So if the nomination is the facade or fence of the K-12 school it is no eligible, but if it is in front of it, it is eligible? For example a mural or religious art…

If it is even on the boundary of the school, it is ineligible.

This is not a statement on your appeal. Just in general.

If a waypoint is attached to or is located within the boundary of the property of a K12, it can be removed. If not, there needs to be other compelling reasons for it to be removed.

Thanks for the appeal, @OhMaikGosh! After reviewing the additional evidence provided, we’ve decided to retire the Wayspot in question.
