They never told us they were extending it, just updated the post. Not everyone is checking the post throughout the challenge, like myself, so I thought the end was still tomorrow.

It auto-updated the quote; I didn’t change the quote whatsoever.
No they did not, the date has not been changed on that announcement whatsoever.

Correct! There was another date as they announced that a challenge will happend, and than give this updated post at the start of the challenge.

I have quite the good memory, and even remember it being Nov 11th when the challenge started. I hope others will think twice about questioning others’ memories, as it doesn’t make me feel good.

That first day of the challenge was messed up; people submitted a couple and then had no more allowances. Maybe Niantic extended it to make up for that?
This post was 12 days ago, 1 day before the official challenge post that was 11 days ago.
No that message had the original dates, the only edits to that message are a typo edit, and a image edit that included a typo.
No, and I don’t wish to discuss anymore.
I have someone very close to me going through some memory and cognitive health issues as of late, so having your memory questioned doesn’t feel good.
I know what I remember, and I’m sticking with that.

No, because you are also questioning my memory. I stand by my memory of what was posted here in the forums on Oct 30th.
I am also having this problem, and now it is most pokestops instead of just some of them. So much for 
the better photos. The last one I was able to thumbs up to change was this one
which was the subject of that warning I received. I think this looks much better than the original
but I still say this should never have been accepted.

Why are you taking this so personally? People make mistakes. This isn’t an issue to get upset about. Just be happy that you have 2 more days to submit edits than you were planning on.

Besides, this should have never even been turned into an issue by the other person; there was no need to do so.
Thats such an improvement! I guess it doesn’t meet removal criteria so might as well make the best of it
And yes part of this edit challenge is surely to make people aware of the new images added and to upvote their favourite, but for some reason that’s been disabled
