When will the next one be?
I don’t speak for staff, but can tell you that the last one was a disaster that had to be cut short. They ran out of nominations we could review. They will have to come up with a different kind of challenge in order to have another one.
In my eyes, the non-reviewing challenge for submitting edits was also a disaster. Many people got slapped with warnings for spam for submitting what we thought were good edits, and many others did submit spam.
I am not clever enough to come up with a different way to have a Wayfarer Challenge. They had originally wanted to have one per quarter, but I don’t see that happening.

In reality, the Wayfarer Challenge is impossible unless there are clear improvements since last time.
It remains impossible unless we somehow resolve the limitation that persists from the Recon era—that salvage becomes impossible when data becomes scarce.
Well, it might be mitigated if reviewers could access the cell level at 0, meaning they could target the entire world.
