Graffiti appeal

When submitting a Wayspot Appeal, make sure to include as much of the following information as possible:

  • Wayspot Title: GRAMS Street Art Wall

  • Location (lat/lon):(51.613956,0.292650)

  • City: Essex

  • Country: The United Kingdom

  • Screenshot of the Rejection Email (do not include your personal information)

  • Additional Information (if any):

I don’t know how this didn’t get removed. This so called art is clearly graffiti which is not eligible by the criteria clarification. There aren’t any articles or sites that support that this graffiti is legal placed art.

And streetview does not show the graffiti on the wall anymore:

Thx for taking another look.

I was also looking at that wayspot, presumably for the same reason, and didn’t report it since I didn’t think it would get removed. It’s graffiti, not a mural, but high-quality graffiti can be acceptable (if I am reading Unique Art correctly). This is borderline and the location is never one that anyone will care about.

Im still editing my post. I don’t think it even exists anymore

If you can get a photograph of the location proving it’s no longer there they will remove it. Just seen your street view grab. The ‘art’ is on the wall we cannot see since the building to the left in your screenshot is in the bg of the wayspot image.

I considered that. Unfortunately, it appears to be on the back of the building (garages?) and was never visible from streetview, so the streetview images are not sufficient to get it removed for not existing. I think it would take a physical visit to check if it exists and submit evidence if it doesn’t.

We will see the decision. This is the best I can do.

Hi, @AMG7070! We gave this a second look and decided to retire the Wayspot in question.
