Please I would like to know why this wayspot has been removed. It has a lot of years and it has been one of the most popular spots to play for years. It is a graffiti of a well known artist. Drawn next to a pelota court a place to play some basque sports. The graffiti has not been removed, it is still there, I have taken a photo and a 360 photo of the place.
I completely agree with it, but as far as I know removal criteria is not the same as elegibility criteria… Once it is accepted it is only removed for few reasons…
In fact, in the past I have reported a Police Station that is a wayspot here and it has not been removed…
Niantic has been making exceptions to that “never should have been accepted” is not a removal reason for disc golf courses. Possibly they are doing the same for graffiti tags. I hope they will acknowledge that so we know what to report.
I just had a report for a Boy Scout Camp with the sign saying “Boy Scouts” in the Wayspot photo rejected, so I am really not certain what to report anymore.
@OhMaikGosh It looks like we haven’t gotten to this request yet or it hasn’t been submitted through in-game. At this time, we only take appeals to overturn decisions we’ve already made.
People shouldn’t be shallow in the interpretation of what is art.
I believe not only does the original picture look incredibly artistic, the actual graffiti someone placed on it since not withstanding, 16 years later it’s largely intact, that is more than some of these other waypoints we can’t remove from the game to save our life. I have a pizza hut waypoint near me, I just reported it for the third time since they shut down.
That’s a regular vandalistic tag, is not showing any type of art of quality on it. Being 16 years in a place does not make it more valid or to meet criteria. As @cyndiepooh says, it seems they are making exceptions with graffiti tags as they are probably doing with other type of wayspots.
