You can submit Wayspots, which can become Pokestops, when you get to level 37 in Pokemon Go. As you get more Pokestops, some can turn into gyms. A good article to understand exactly how this works is https://pokemongohub.net/post/article/comprehensive-guide-s2-cells-pokemon-go/

Out of interest close is your nearest pokestop?
Wayfarer is where Points of interest are found that may or may not be used by the various games including Pokémon Go. The use in Pokémon Gonis outside of the scope of wayfarer. But you might find useful information about the use of S2 cells in pokestop selection helpful
You can ask in nomination help to see if experienced wayfinders can spot anything.
But often there is nothing and that’s the way it is.

You can type San donnino on Google maps, but my side is near firenze
Just after a quick look, there looks to be a chapel at the city cemetery that could be a proposal. There looks to be a swimming facility at the My Sporting campus that could be worth proposing. Behind the church appears to be the parochial football field that might work too.
I’m headed to breakfast now but I’ll explore the town further on Google after my coffee and see what else I can spot!

I’m gonna keep hunting. Here’s what I’ve found so far:
- Rugby field at ASD I Puma Bisenzio (smaller field on Via delle Molina)
- Chapel in Cimitero Comunale
- Football pitch behind Chiesa Parrocchiale di San Donnino a Campi
- Piazza delle Costituzione (large area with benches could serve as an anchor point)
- Chiesa di Sant’ Andrea

Which of all those signs are you trying to focus on? that would be the first step, unfortunately though really none of them would likely meet any of the criteria and get accepted. All of the signs seem like typical infrastructure signs a finding any town.
Ordinary place signs that are basically just street furniture are not usually eligible.
If there is one that looks very special/artistic then it could work.
The actual object you are submitting should be the focus of the photo and fill the photo.
