Help with nominating

Can you approve my pokestop I need it

Hello and Welcome @8493t62tuR3554e

Posting to this forum is not how approvals work.
If you have made a submission it will go through a process.
It first is checked by a computer program to see if it is likely to be of reasonable quality.
If it fails you get a rejection from “ our team”
If it passes that check then it goes to the community of people reviewing to assess it. It is sent to an unknown number of people until it reaches a resolution in terms of the overall votes.
This is something that can take a week to many months depending on the how the reviewing goes.
You then get an email saying it either has been accepted or rejected by “the community”
You can log in to check on your submission

If you have further questions please do ask

Well what stage is mine at

You can check via the link that Eli provided and tap “Contributions” once logged in.

In Queue means it’s waiting for people to vote on it
In Voting means it’s currently being voted on by Wayfarers, this can take some tile

Accepted & Rejected should be obvious ones if it’s reached that already

Well no one is ever on there so it won’t get any votes which is not fair for me

Could you explain what you mean by
“No one is ever on there”

Could you tell us a little bit about where you live…..you don’t have to give exact details but a nearby city or the country would help.
There are some countries where there is not much activity.
You don’t see the activity that reviewers are doing.
Reviewers get a flow of nominations to assess and this contains a mixture of different pools feeding their flow.
Pool 1 is their current game play area - defined by s2 cells
Pool 2 is their current game play country - country boundaries plus overseas dependencies

Pool 3 is their “home” location - an area selected by the player which doesn’t change
Pool 4 is their “bonus” location- an area selected by the player which can be changed a few times a year.

Pool 2 contains upgraded nominations and it seems to contain places in that country that don’t have much activity.

This means that even if you are in a remote part of your country your nomination will be in one of those review pools flowing to reviewers to be assessed.
It can take months to be resolved, but it used to take in excess of 2 years.
It initially is at in queue status once someone has seen and voted on it the status changes to in voting.
Does this help?

As in no one is on myfare

Could you possibly show a screenshot of what you are looking at - do remove any personal information - as I’m not sure exactly what you are referring to.

I’m in Canberra and no one really plays here

That is what I’m meaning so cause no one really plays here I’m not going to get any votes on my pokestop that I want

Canberra looks to have tons of Wayspots so people do play there (it’s also active on Ingress).

As for voting, you get a wide area to review for the locations that @elijustrying mentioned so reviewers don’t need to be based in Canberra to review nominations from there.

Someone could even be from somewhere far away but have their bonus area set there/near there so your Nominations should still reach a decision.

That is a spam nomination and is likely to get you reported for abuse. I recommend you withdraw it.

Thanks for telling us more

This is not the sort of object that meets the requirements to be a wayspot/ pokestop.

As you appear to have just submitted it I suspect that you might get an auto reject by the computer program. This could happen within the next 24 hours.

We are happy to discuss what sort of things you can nominate and how to make a good nomination.
So I will move this over to nomination support.

To be polite, this isn’t:

  • A great place for exploration
  • A great place for being social with others
  • A great place for exercise

Which is what Wayspots need to be. If you submit things like this, you may be risking both your Wayfarer and game account.

Typically, Wayfarers would call this “coal”, being the opposite of “diamonds” (the best nominations)

Ok but the thing is why is this stuff so hard and annoying

May I ask what made you think it was okay to submit this?

I think the best thing for you to do is read the criteria if you’re confused on what’s good and what’s not.

I don’t personally think Wayfarer is hard but I’ve been doing it many years. The criteria is where you want to start to understand what’s eligible before you start to nominate anything else.

Well I do so can you please leave me alone

It looks like you did not read the criteria for submitting a Wayspot. Please be aware that submitting abusive nominations can lead to a ban in Pokemon Go:

If you find it too difficult to learn criteria for nominations, then I would suggest that you don’t nominate.
