Description: Community entrance sign for a rural development.
Supporting information: this is a school bus stop, turnaround point for everyone who walks in the neighborhood, and the safest place to be a pedestrian in this rural area.
Any chance this can be successfully submitted? I hate having to get in the car every time my son wants to spin a PokeStop. I can easily get a better picture of the sign but I would like to know my chances before I do so.

In order to decide if something should be submitted, you should make sure that you can make a case that it meets Wayfarer Acceptance Criteria: Wayspot Criteria — Wayfarer Help Center
I personally do not see how a sign for a development meets any of the Eligibility Criteria of a great place for exercise, exploration, or being social. Can you make a persuasive argument that it does?

There is really nowhere else for exercise in this area - everyone in the neighborhood walks down to this spot and then turns around because the main road is emphatically unsafe for pedestrians. So it may not be GREAT place by most standards, but it is all we have. There is no clubhouse, or park, or anything similar in the neighborhood. The rest of the neighborhood is private property, so ineligible for certain.
It also happens to be where the kids (and their parents) wait for the school bus, which is inherently social.
I’m not sure I can be persuasive in the way that I could be for, say, the UVA Rotunda or the Louvre, or another widely recognized significant space, but it’s what we have locally.
If you didnt mind sharing your general location, maybe we can have a look to see if we can spot anything that could be submitted?

However, it is too far from my home to allow my child to walk - and it is on a road that I don’t think anyone would feel comfortable walking on - high speed traffic, narrow country road, bad sightlines from our direction.
This suggestion is really an attempt to get something walkable, but it does seem destined for failure.
Okay, I se the area is actually very spread out and looks to have a lot of single family homes.
One idea.. this sign is quite a significant distance from the church itself, and it looks to have a message on that maybe varies? Maybe its considered significant enough to be separately eligible
It could be that reviewers would accept it, or it could be that reviewers would say its a duplicate/not distinct. Might be worth a try. That would make one of the 2 into a gym
Also at the church, check if there are gardens with seating in - that may be separately eligible.
It’s not super local but there is also a stop at a cider place - I wonder if there is scope for more than 1 stop there? If they have outdoor seating area then that could be submitted. Equally if there is a restaurant, or they do tours of their facilities, that might be possible to submit separately. The buildings are across multiple cells, but depending on where things are, you may get a power spot, new stop or make a gym.
There is also “rock branch horse and cattle” in between, and google suggests they offer services to the public including trail riding, so that would be a great place to exercise and explore. You could likely submit the buildings where they meet for trail rides, and the menage separately. This would again make a stop and a gym if both worked out

This could also work as a place to socialise and explore assuming they do bible study, allow groups to meet etc

I would also visit this church and see if they have any outdoor areas, small chapel, artwork in the grounds etc to add additional PoIs
Thank you again for your kind suggestions. They are certainly interesting ideas, though none appear to be walkable, which is truly my main concern.

If you can’t walk to somewhere, the best best thing is to pick places you visit regularly as part of normal life and add to them. So for example, if you have a favourite cafe, a nice pub, your gym or swimming club, art class, etc, all those things can be submitted. It means that although you can’t walk simply to a stop, you can access them while doing other things
I obviously don’t know where you live so I was looking for the general area and I can’t tell what is walkable or not sadly. My recommendation is to go for walks with an eye as to things to submit. I noticed there’s a river - is there a river trail? Any scenic viewpoints with a bench? Those kinds of things can work 
These 2 places seem to serve food, they may be acceptable as a great place to socialise in such a small location
Trading Post is in the same cell as the unsubmitted church so one of those could be a stop and the other a gym
Is there an HOA for the estate? You could talk to them about improving the communal space within the estate?
Is it possible to create a walk along the river? Or in the wooded area ( sorry if this is unrealistic it’s the sort of thing that is feasible in U.K.
)
Would the HOA create an outdoors meeting area for the community - some picnic benches maybe.
It’s clearly set in the country so maybe some information boards about the nature around you? An insect hotel?

Little Free Libraries seem to be a good add as long as they are on public land.
Anything on Single Family Private Residence Property (including up to or attached to the border) is ineligible.
Good advice is to not think along the lines of “I want a waypoint here” as this usually leads to disappointment. Think more “What would make a good waypoint (meeting criteria) in the area”.
It is “Pokemon GO” so you have to expect to go a certain degree.

One suggestion I have is to put up a Little Free Library in a common area. Those are nearly always accepted if not on SFPRP (single family private residential property.) This could be a community project.

Is it worth mentioning that this should be an official “authorised” installation, not just a painted box placed hoping it lasts long enough to be Accepted?

I had first typed to ask the HOA for permission, but then realized we don’t know if there is an HOA. So I went with “community project” instead, but forgot to add back in the “with permission.” That is an important point.

I know that for the “old timers” these things can seem obvious and easily missed.
I do think about that it might look like “nah then, tha forget about…” (sorry, just gone proper Yorkshire
when it should be “for anybody new to wayfarer please remember …, we don’t want you to get in to any trouble”.
Thank you all. I appreciate the ideas and will ruminate on them (we don’t have an HOA and there are loads of private property concerns, so some things might be complicated). As I have said, my thought has been to try to create PokeStops that will be accessible by walking - what I haven’t said is that this is primarily for the benefit of my child, who cannot drive and does not get to go to town (where there are loads of spots) regularly.
I wish we had anything that would fit community guidelines that is not already in use. I am beginning to realize why my child is getting frustrated with a game he otherwise really enjoys.

I would recommend going for walks together to try to spot options. Its hard sometimes but if you found a trail that has signs or markers that would be ideal. Is the area accessible by bike for him? Sorry not sure how old he is and what your options are.

As you have mentioned Private Property and this is commonly mis-understood.
In regards to Wayfarer this is “Single Family Private Residence Property” (SFPRP).
- Communal areas of multi family residences (apartments etc) can have eligible waypoints.
- Areas that are restricted to a set group of people (gated communities etc) can also have eligible waypoints.
