Hi,
I live in the countryside in Belgium.
I always walk down to the nearby village, which takes about 10-15 minutes on foot.
There are quite a few PokéStops in the village, and I have successfully submitted new ones, which also led to new arenas being added thanks to the validated PokéStops.
Anyway, this sign exists in three copies in the village. One of the three was approved by the community because a local player got it validated. However, the other two signs do not have PokéStops—one of them is the one I have been trying to get validated for weeks, and the other is located in the village center.
The sign in question indicates the presence of a farm with animals near the village.
I don’t understand why my PokéStop nomination keeps getting rejected, considering that one of the three identical signs was already approved. The sign is on a sidewalk at the other end of the village, so there is no accident risk. The village near my home doesn’t have heavy traffic, so I don’t see why my nomination is being denied. As I mentioned, the same sign was already approved in another location.
I have explained multiple times why this PokéStop should be accepted. I even pointed out that there is an arena and two PokéStops just a few meters away from the sign. Yet, people keep rejecting it. It feels like the community isn’t even reading my explanation and just judging based on the photos.
First of all, even though the prompt asks you why this would be a good pokestop, you shouldn’t mention game play at all in your nomination. You are actually submitting a Wayspot. The main criteria for a Wayspot to be accepted can be found here: Niantic Wayfarer
Must meet at least one of the three eligibility criteria
- A great place for exploration
- A great place for exercise
- A great place to be social with others
Can you explain how this sign meets any of those criteria in your opinion? It appears to just be a sign for traffic to me, which would not be eligible.
You can’t always go by what you see in game already. Those may have been accepted in error, criteria may have changed, or there may have been more to the nomination than you can see on the game location.
For more feedback on this nomination, if you still believe it is eligible, we would need to see screenshots from your contributions page to more fully help.

Thanks for your reply.
The sign is not a road sign, it simply indicates the presence of a farm nearby.
The farm is also in the village and is a few meters from the sign.
It will be good if you could also share the rejection reasons you received, you can see them at the wayfarer website: Niantic Wayfarer
I can’t find a lot of infromation about this trail Route Champêtre, did you present it aas such or just a sign for the farm?

The OP said that it’s a directional sign to a farm.
@Otastyle If this is simply a directional sign to the farm, it’s ineligible, per criteria below:
Here is the sign in question that has been validated.
The farm is on the left
That is not what I asked for. The already accepted sign is irrelevant for this discussion

For the last sign which is next to a church, the church is an arena,
What is already in game does not matter. Tell us about the sign you are submitting.

Ok i understand, I’m going to stop requesting pokestop.
I looked up one of the others, and it was submitted as a trail marker. If this is a defined walking trail, and not just signs pointing traffic to the farm, it could be eligible. Do you have a link to prove a walking trail route to the farm?
Leaving a link here if anyone wants to pull this up in Ingress: Route champêtre
I can provide a google map link
Farm = Left path
I meant do you have a link to something that documents that this is a walking trail maintained for people to walk?
I don’t know, i will check on google.
Where is the farm this leads to? Is it a Wayspot yet?
(I am getting really confused looking at Google Maps screenshots. I am going to leave helping to others here. Remember to prove how this is a GREAT place for exercise, exploration, and/or being social for any nomination you make in the future.)
The farm is a few meters to the left of the sign and it does not have a wayspot.
okay that last sign showed me there are words at the top of these signs. if you search on those words, do they bring up links to trails? I tried searching on the words on the first photo and it took me to a website I couldn’t navigate.
You just have an arrow that indicates the path to follow.
But for the words written above it says… “House of tourism and country of Ourthe and Aisne”
It’s just the name given to the region where the village is located.
It’s like a state in the USA or a region in Japan, for example Kanto etc.
Hi, I sympathize with the frustration, as a quick look on Google tells me that there is likely very much a path towards making these signs good nominations.
People here are asking specific questions about what you submitted not out of malice or negativity, but to genuinely try to understand and help. It doesn’t look like it’s something “to go to the farm”, it appears to be a pretty long trail, and that very much matters for the eligibility. Nominations tend to do much better when it is clear at least to the submitter what the object actually is - don’t shoot your nomination in the foot by not researching it
We would really need to see the full nomination you submitted and the reasons you got rejected for to help you address those reasons.
