How long does it usually take for an appeal to go thru I submitted a pokestop it got denied so I appealed it because it really is a good spot for all the kids who catch the bus there and we plan on putting a route next to it if it gets accepted.

The appeals team is usually very quick to respond. I haven’t seen one take longer than two weeks in a long time, and have even seen some decided the same day.
A place for kids to catch the bus does not sound very promising. They will explain in a “Niantic Note” on the contribution if they reject it, and will link you to the Wayfarer Criteria. If you do get a rejection and would like to discuss it for advice here, please post again.
