I submitted a pokestop

I submitted a pokestop 3 days ago and when I sent it to see if gets approved or not so I sent a question here and they said it takes them about 20 to 24 hours but I still have not received any response of them yet does anyone know why?

I don’t think anyone told you it takes 20-24 hours to receive an answer. That is incredibly fast. It can often take 3 weeks.

It can take anything from days to weeks to get something approved depending on location, when it gets out of the queue and into voting.

Recently I have noticed that submissions are moving along a little quicker then normal, some taking less than a week, others taking longer.

Don’t stress about it, you will get a mail when it has been approved or rejected.

You can see the current status of your submission if you go to your contributions page on the wayfarer website. Tap the top left and then contributions. It will show if it is in queue, in voting, in Niantic review, accepted or rejected.

Contributions can be found by going here

I checked there and it says its in queue what does that mean?

So, to avoid future disappointment, first let me point out that although the in game prompt says you are submitting a Pokestop, you are actually submitting a Wayspot, which may or may not be eligible to be promoted to a Pokestop based on S2 cells. There is a good article about that here: https://pokemongohub.net/post/article/comprehensive-guide-s2-cells-pokemon-go/ This is known by community observation, and not anything Niantic states anywhere.

Secondly, a nomination simply takes as long as it takes to be reviewed. The only thing we can confirm the timing of is the machine learning model check, which happens at around 20 - 24 hours after submitting. The “automated process” can reject, but it cannot accept. If it passes that check, the nomination can be taken for in house review, or remain in queue for community voting. The in house team can decide the nomination, or put it back in the queue.

Community voting doesn’t take nearly as long as it used to, so some people are reporting decisions within a couple of hours after getting past the machine learning model check, but some may take as long as three months, at which point I believe that Niantic will pull them and decide them internally. My personal expectation these days is under two weeks, but that is not guaranteed.

You can review yourself and earn an upgrade to apply to your nomination to send it to a wider review pool. That will usually speed up the process, but does not make it any more likely to be accepted than without one.

It means it hasn’t entered voting yet, when it does it will switch to “in voting” and then you just have to wait until the community has their say and votes to accept or reject it.

As I said, just relax for now and wait until you get your email.:+1:

Oh i see i explained this before and i bet that is where you saw that number, but completely misunderstood.

In my experience, I’ve had stops take anywhere from 30 hours to a whole week to get approved, and then from a few hours to a week after approval to show up in game.

And… I’m near a major city, the ones near the edge of the suburbs tend to be the slower approves, and I’ve heard of rural ones taking longer.
