Over the years we’ve had the Wayforum across various platforms, we’ve often had clarifications made by staff. Because these fill in gaps in published criteria, some of the community holds onto these as explicit instruction that must be followed. Sometimes these are in line with our expectations and understanding but sometimes they are seen as very outside of our alignment. One previously even lead to users considering any reference to Pokémon GO in supporting text to be considered abuse! What about ones that appear to augment published guides but go further and past reasonable community understanding, such as not using “@ArtistTags” that creates community dissent and reviewer disagreement?
How relevant should we take these criteria, especially when they fail to make it beyond the 1% of forum participants? How relevant are any of those criteria and guidelines no longer available since various refreshes, especially ones once part of community voted AMA since lost?
