I work for UPS, and the local Union created a Tiki Hut they call the Hydration Station. It serves not only workers but customers and is the local spot to talk. The center has pedestrian walkpaths and entrances on all sides, and the station encourages exercise and staying hydrated. Its local and unique, open to the public, and a social spot, I thought it would be a shoe in for a stop, but was rejected. Should I appeal? Is it “UPS” that caused the rejection? I attached a picture.

I apologize, this was the only topic dealing directly with Post Offices, and the private postal services (FedEx, UPS), thought I found where the answer would be

It is probably getting rejected on the “generic business” basis. In Australia post offices are now mostly franchised with private ownership. Definitely a generic business by any definition but specifically excepted by the post office rule.
i suggest re submitting, stressing that is highly valued – in your local area. As I understand your description – it is an area constructed and designated for public use by management – and has become a meeting and social hub for your community. You need to convince some, maybe more sympathetic, reviewers.
I often wonder when reviewing do we look first for reasons to reject or do we look for reasons to accept? I believe most nominations come from players trying to improve the game and make it more viable and enjoyable. The are mainly unaware of all the guidelines until they end up here.
