The following Wayspot got rejected first from the community and then the appeal as well. It mainly says „not significant“ from the community and „generic“ from Niantic. The nomination is an official post office of Deutsche Post. Since I thought post offices would be eligible wayspots I am very happy for your thoughts and experiences on this.

Anmerkungen zum Einspruch
Bei dem Vorschlag handelt es sich um eine Postfiliale der Deutschen Post. Sie ist als Nr. 519 bei der Deutschen Post gelistet und wird auch unter „Becker‘s „Neue Post““ geführt. Im Titel, in der Beschreibung und im Foto taucht diese Bezeichnung auf, was den Vorschlag eindeutig und einzigartig macht. Zur Überprüfung dieser Informationen habe ich die offizielle Internetseite für diese Postfiliale Nr. 519 in meinem Vorschlag angegeben. In dieser Postfilialen sind alle Serviceleistungen der Post möglich. Dies habe ich vor Ort überprüft und es ist auch auf der Internetseite dieser Postfiliale nachzulesen. Der vorgeschlagene Wayspot ist daher wichtig für die Infrastruktur und das kulturelle Leben des Ortes. Ich hatte auf der Wayfarerseite nachgelesen, dass Postfilialen wie diese als Wayspot qualifiziert sind. Ich habe ebenfalls neuere akzeptierte Wayspots gesehen, die Postfilialen sind. Ich habe mir mit meinem Vorschlag Mühe gegeben und alles vorher geprüft. Daher bin ich jetzt verwundert, dass mein Vorschlag abgelehnt wurde. Ich bitte darum, dies nochmal zu überprüfen. Bitte erklären Sie genauer, was meinem Vorschlag fehlt, damit ich daraus lernen kann. Vielen Dank für Ihre Mühe und den Einsatz für die Community.

Would you resubmit? And what would you change in my submission then?
I am quite confused. I read the guidances beforehand and thought post offices are allowed and good wayspots. This is an official post office from German Post (Deutsche Post) with its official number. And I saw other post offices from Deutsche Post recently accepted.
Sorry I can not give any definitive answer as I can only give a UK based answer…
In the UK Post Offices are usually Accepted stating the people use them to stay in touch with Friends / Family that are not local. ie “Socialise”.
In the past the Post Office would also be the centre of the village with many people meeting there. In the smallest village this may have been the only shop.
Both of these are based on what they where in the past with people now staying in touch by Facebook / Email etc but it seems that in the UK we still see the Post Office as a corner stone of the village even though many have either transformed or moved in to standard convenience stores.
Maybe a staff member or a local reviewer will see this and comment with more help for you.
It comes back to the issue that post offices are kind of grandfathered into criteria and not in every region they would attain so much to the current core criteria explore, Excercise, socialise.
With German post offices, it’s always difficult to present them.to an international audience. A lot are nowadays fused or only part of a kiosk (small shop), so people are unsure sometimes whether it’s a full post office or not. The latter one often is seen as ineligible. With the other parts of this shop not being post office stuff, it will.be difficult to show that it is acceptable
Very old guidance that was in place when I began reviewing said:
“Post offices - Eligible, as long as they are standalone buildings rather than individual postboxes, windows, etc.”
This has been removed, but will affect how many long time reviewers understand post office eligibility.

Bitte entschuldige, dein thread ist mir durch die Lappen gegangen.
Postfilialen sind, gemäß den Richtlinien, akzeptable Wayspot Kandidaten. Der Antworttext des Appealreviewers ist also nicht korrekt.
Ich kann dir leider kein Erfolgsrezept nennen, weil ich selbst eine Ablehnung für meinen letzten Versuch bekommen habe, deshalb erstmal nur Mitgefühl
Da bisher keine Korrektur des Appeals stattgefunden hat (also dass du doch noch eine “akzeptiert” Email bekommst), wäre mein Rat es einfach wieder zu versuchen, oder einen anderen Vorschlag zu suchen.

As long as there is a post office counter then it’s in U.K.
Our main post office for the town is now housed within another shop, offering full range of services.
I tend to just look at current guidance, where they are listed as eligible locations with no additional comments. And when you go through acceptability questions they do well.
Agreed. With the number of Post Offices that closed it seems the only way to survive is either the Post Office expands to be a General Store or it moves in to a General Store.
Seems that as long as it has the Post Office logo on the front then it’s Acceptable.
Ich seh das anders als Andere hier. Für mich ist das ein Ort für administrative Transaktionen ohne besondere Relevanz. Nichts wo man Leute treffen, was entdecken oder wo man Sport treiben will.
Das ist eine Ideenvorgabe, muss aber nicht zutreffen. In Deinem Fall sehe ich ein Abgabefenster. Mehr nicht. Da müsste man jeden Briefkasten gleichwertig behandeln.
But your reasoning on why it isnt eligible makes no sense as a post office is a great way to socialize with the world. This is true whether its a standalone building or a dedicated counter.
Fair enough. My phone indeed has loads of negative points.
Does not make that post window a post office where folks socialize though. They do a business interaction.
