I do really hope this is acceptable!

I can’t help but feel nervous about seeing another Niantic Review…

I’d vote to approve that, provided the supporting information is good

If Niantic puts it into the queue, I know I am good. If they approve, I know I am good. It’s the other option I am wary of.

Hahaha.. I am more worried about emily doesnt let it through commmunity vote.

I can always appeal it if the staff reject it, but I am really hoping it doesn’t come down to that.

Yeah same. I ald have my appeal candidate queue

“Christ” maybe triggering the review? I had one go into review because it was near “R*fle Range Farm” (can’t even post it here.. long gunpowder-powered weapons).

This Niantic Review will most likely be a human review…

If the ML (machine learning ai) model is going to reject it, it doesn’t normally stay there long enough for us to see the “Under Review” symbol. I do suspect Niantic is examining ML decisions. There has been an uptick in reports of nominations going into internal review. But that is just a guess, as I have no inside information.

Oh, I didn’t see the Niantic logo.

Now I look stupid. :sob:

Nah. Not stupid. With a previous Niantic Review I thought it was ML hogging my nominations… easy mistake to make.

Niantic decided not to reject it. I can breath a sigh of relief…for now.

I had a really weird experience today, I submitted this one that went into Niantic review, I guess because of the word “Devil”..

It’s a 50 cm high (!) monolith of unknown but ancient origin with a surprising amount of citations. It spent a little time in Niantic review and then was accepted a few minutes later. So did Niantic themselves approve it? That would be a first for me.

That Toenail reference looks very dodgy too.

I think that Niantic is just pulling a lot of nominations recently, and doubt there was a trigger. The number of times this has been reported recently has me thinking they are running some tests on the ML model. Your email will say “our team” if it was them. They have also been observed to pull some into review and then release them back for community review.

That’s an absolutely awesome description!

Mine was “the community” not “our team” - but mostly I have to wait about two weeks to get an approval, this one was straight away. Weird.
