Yup the best advice is to not give up especially on trail markers because they are tricky to get through but if you write a good appeal text it should be good
That’s good to hear. It will take some time, but atleast you are getting them accepted.
Same problem, appealing is usually the solution, but indeed, we only have a few of those. I wish that appeals would be reimbursed after succesful appeal.
I’m having the same experience. I’m not even playing go anymore. It is so disheartening. I live in a rural area where there are very few wayspots. Just about anything should be approved IMO as cities have wayspots every 100 feet.
Welcome to the forums.
If you want to post your (approximate) location, people are often willing to help you find things that are worth submitting. Although there are fewer in rural areas than in the centres of cities, you also find that suburban areas can be remarkably empty as far as anything interesting is concerned.
Please check the following:
Hoping that everything can get approved just so rural areas can have something is very unrealistic. There are lots of problems with this idea, even if the source behind it is genuine frustration.
Pokemon Go isn’t about “fair” distribution of game locations. It is about getting players out to points of interest. If there isn’t anything interesting there, then there shouldn’t be any Pokestops - that is just how the game is designed. It is an easier game to play for some folks than others, for sure.
That said, we have seen people really get into Wayfarer and improve their PoGo communities. Taking an area from one single Pokestop to several Pokestops and Gyms is a thrill! If you want some more experienced eyes looking at your location, feel free to share the general area. Do remember that this is a public forum though if you are worried about revealing your location.
Hello @trninvt
It is a topic that comes up regularly. It is easy to understand why it crops up because it is easy to have empathy for those that will find game play challenging with fewer more widespread interaction points. The community here has many players on that situation and people will be willing to help make the best out of what you have got available.
It wont be easy but if you can improve things by justr a few sucessful submissions it will make a big difference.
This topic had to be temporarily closed due to one wayfarer posting in a non constructive way.
The sequence of posts it generated has been removed.
I am reopening the topic, for now.
It is fine to vent frustration about the wayfarer process - we all have times when things go wrong. However it is important to remain respectful to all.
The posts that remain in this topic are good examples of how it can be respectful and supportive.
Thank you for taking the time to filter this topic a bit.
I didn’t review any of these. But I notice that you seem to start with something valid (basketball court. mural), and then muddy it up with completely different topics. Other sports, dancing, karaoke, a cafe. I suggest choosing your topic, and sticking to it. Don’t throw confusion on what’s being submitted.
If practical, you can title the Wayspot to match Google. IOW name it “Juan Carlos Basketball Court” - and in supporting info, mention that reviewers can click the title to get Google results. OR, skip that and just say “See satellite map”.
I don’t know what Island PokeVault is - but the sign itself doesn’t look like a destination. The sign isn’t artistic for exploring, or a place to exercise or socialize. The sign COULD be valid as an anchor/proxy for the place it advertises. So nominate the business, and explain why it’s a great place to exercise, socialize, or explore. Its picture can be the sign.
I came across this Basketball court and accepted it, I don’t know why the others rejected
