A time ago I made a pokestop that I moved later because I thought it was more accurate that way. When it got accepted, it disappeared from the map and a powerspot (dinamax) disappeared too. I saw that it crossed a big cell through that movement. I would like to know if that is intended or can be reversed, because the hole point of that movement was not to remove it from the game nor the powerspot in that area. It is a small area, and I’d prefer losing that pokestop rather than both spots.

If you move a Pokéstop or Gym into a Level 17 S2 Cell that already contains a Pokéstop or Gym, it is intentional that the one being moved will disappear from the game. This is to prevent abuse and overcrowding of the game map.
Assuming the location edit was valid and improved the location of the wayspot, then it’s likely not going to get reversed, especially not if the only reason for requesting reversal is because you want it to appear in game.
I’m not sure about the Power Spot disappearing. It may come back if it’s at least 22 metres away from the existing Pokéstops and Gyms.
Oh I see, so if it moved from the little cells it wouldn’t have happened? I understand the rules, but it annoys me that trying to make the game more accurate, it punishes me for that. As if I didn’t ever move that pokestop this wouldn’t have happened.
Think of it this way… you got a pokestop that should never have been there for as long as you did.
Yeah, that is true, but it also got rid of the powerspot with that. If it only disappeared alone… but took away an important spot. As a small village, right now there is only one remaining and that ruins a lot of events related to it.
powerspots cycle, so it may return. or your ex-pokestop may become a powerspot instead.
Oh, I see. Is there any specific metric, or it would just randomly appear someday?
I think this is the pokestop? see the blue ring around it? A Wayspot has to be that far away from an existing Pokestop or gym in order to be used as a powerspot. I put a red pin on this map with the coordinates you gave in the first post. It seems to meet the distance requirement.
We have observed a monthly sync of powerspots on the 4th of the month. That is when I would expect the powerspot(s) to be added the pool of available ones. And you probably know they reset, so you don’t see them all at once. Also the more you have in an area, the less you are likely to see any specific one, the way I understand it.
I have a lot of trouble with time zones, but I am on EDT time and it seems to happen around 6pm.
Yes, that’s the moved pokestop. It has been a long time since I checked how everything works, so this happening lost me. So powerspots seem to reset from time to time? I never noticed. Is there more info about it? I’ll check if the fourth of this month changes something related
It depends how many you have in the available pool. I am not an expert on this, but in some L14 cells with fewer options, the Powerspots seem almost permanent. In others with more options, the ones that are picked from the pool rotate. The most you can normally have active in an L14 size cell is 2, possibly with another one saying it will be “opening” soon. The event advertising more powerspots seemed to double that to 4 active ones from what I have read.
