I heard about the approval of PocketStop that I submitted not too long ago. I want to run to the site right now to check, but it’s hard to check because I’m on a business trip. Often during the review of the stop, location changes are made, so I want to make sure it hasn’t been moved to another cell nearby.
The coordinates I submitted are: 35.174209,126.932138
I have one more suggestion, but if the stop was moved after the review, I would like to see the moved location together. Now, there is a limit to users going to the site every time to check. I think it would be cumbersome for each other to send an email or write here every time for this.

If you feel comfortable please share the location, as it is helpful (i.e. hidden duplicates), but you can mask it if you wish.
It very possibly could have been move to the correct location for what you submitted. The coordinates that you provided are several meters away from the sign that you submitted, so it’s likely that someone did correct it. Cells are irrelevant to pinning an object when it comes to accuracy. You have to pin a wayspot on its real world location.
Intentionally misplacing a wayspot for the benefit of gameplay is considered abusive behavior and can result in sanctions on your account. Please pin things where they actually are.
I understand what you mean, I’m just curious about the location, if it’s been moved, I’ll have to upgrade something or look for a new place. And Google Maps is over 10 years old. Now that location has been moved slightly. I chose the location after looking at the location of the gps in front of that sign. Pokemon Go’s submission system is quite inconvenient, so it’s hard to locate those small signs accurately. You’ve submitted it so you know, right?
There are no updated maps currently where you can see the location. Your best bet is to return to the spot and go through the submit a wayspot screens in Pogo then toggle on the ability to see what is already there.
I’ve borrowed this photo from another wayfarer (who I won’t tag because no need to add this other notifications, but Cyndiepooh is the owner).
The sign you posted is clearly visible on both satellite view and street view from 7 years ago. If the location has actually changed, you could use a third-party app to take a photo with geo coordinates labeled and appeal.
I don’t find the submission system inconvenient for locating objects. You can use google maps or ‘satellite’ images and zoom in a long way. I can’t imagine anything better than that for putting a pin on the map, which is exactly what you need to do.
In woodland it can be tricky to locate something, but that’s true anyway.
I have never been worried about the location in which a submission has ended up. Partly because I put them where they belong (and partly because I enjoy finding things to submit more than I enjoy seeing them appear in Pokemon Go).
If there is something else legitimate to add, why not just add it?
With this submission, you have clearly misplaced it, by a few meters but just enough to nudge it over the boundary into an empty cell in which it doesn’t exist. That is abuse and is a risk for your account. If it appears in the correct place, it may still enter the game as an active location by being a powerspot.
Yeah, I think that’s right, on second thought, I’m only asking here when I can’t see the stop I submitted. I’m not going to be there until a week later. I was asking here because I thought it would help me follow-up work later if I knew in advance whether the stop was created or not. I’ll have to go there in a week. It’s uncomfortable that it can’t work on IITC or geomap anymore. I hope you can make a new map or show up on the campfire. Thank you
The reason why they say it’s inconvenient is that due to security issues in Korea, Google Earth is not allowed to use it, and the update of the map to Google was stopped 10 years ago due to government guidelines. Satellite maps can’t be used because of cloudy image quality, so you have to use the Pokémon Go app and the local map app alternately, but the two maps are slightly different, and there is a slight error and a gps error. And Pokémon Go takes up a lot of resources on mobile phones, so various problems arise during submission. Anyway, I want you to know that’s the case in Korea, which is currently under ceasefire. This is google map in korea.
OK, I did not know that. I was looking at that location using google ‘satellite’ view, with much more detail, but from the UK.
That’s not a problem Niantic can fix! A workaround would be to be in the precise physical location, use your game map to identify if the GPS has picked up the correct location and then submit at that spot.
It still remains that you positioned the submission to the south into an otherwise empty cell instead of an occupied cell.
I submitted the information I had at the time because I thought it was in an empty cell. Just know that I didn’t intentionally put it in an empty cell. I did my best to find the location. Just a little error.
I looked on Kakao maps too. The sign does seem to be in the same place there (Nov 2023) as it is on Google maps now and 7 years ago. That’s difficult that you can’t get the same precision with Google.
I just searched the local map again. As you said, the sign is still there. When I stood in front of the sign and opened IItc, IItc pointed to the place I submitted it, so I thought the sign had been moved. It just happened that the cell where IItc was pointing was empty, so I submitted it as it was, but when I checked it again, I was surprised because the error was bigger than I thought. I made a big mistake. I’m sorry. I guess I was too complacent because I got used to it by submitting a lot of stops. I’ll have to check carefully before writing here or submitting stops in the future.
