I was unfairly suspended

I applied for “Nishitetsu Kasugaharu Station” on Wayfarer. However, one week later, my Pokemon GO account was suspended. When I inquired about the reason for the suspension, I was told that it was because I used a third-party photo. However, I simply took the photo and posted it on a website. Therefore, suspending my account for using a third-party photo is unjustified. I would like my account to be unsuspended.

There have been past cases where this happened. Precaution must be taken in the future. Tagging @NianticAaron for visibility, it may take a while to review and respond since it is the weekend.

Can we check that you have made a formal appeal through the link in the email notification.

Hi,
I have merged your second topic post in here.
It is helpful to everyone if you stick to the one topic.
The relevant member of the wayfarer Team will read this topic and has already been tagged, so there is no need to keep tagging as it will not speed up your case.

You have to be patient.

Perhaps you can provide details about the posting of the photo.
Which website did you post it to and exactly when.

Hello, welcome to the forum.
In your English post, you mentioned taking the photos yourself. Were you involved in creating this site? I assume you used the second image—did you take that one? Or did you perhaps download and reuse it?

I only provided photos I took. However, my account has been suspended because uploading images from third parties is not allowed. This is strange. I would also like my account to be deactivated. I have also purchased tickets to the Wild Area Nagasaki and train tickets.

Hi @45450723323
I’ve moved your new post into your other thread.
As long as we’re talking about the same issue let’s stay organized in one thread.

I’m quite unsure which photo was used and how it came to be attributed in the article. Can you show us the nomination from the submission email as well?

The photo of the station you submitted is included in the receipt notification email in your mail folder. Could you please provide a screenshot?

Do you have any way of proving that the photo on that website is actually a photo that belongs to you?

The problem is that wayfarer submissions are intended to be anonymised. If the photo you use is uploaded elsewhere on the internet, a reviewer has no way of determining whether you took that photo yourself, or whether you simply stole it from the internet. That’s why you got flagged for third party photo.

When did you submit that candidate?
When did you take that photo?
Are there any image properties (details)?

I’m curious about what kind of photo was used for supplementary information. The photo you used was uploaded in January 2024. This photo shows identifiable pedestrians. I can’t think of any positive reason to deliberately use this photo, taken about two years ago, other than to save the time and effort of taking a photo without going to the site.

By the way, the correct title of this candidate is “Nishitetsu Kasugaharu Station Front(西鉄春日原駅前)” meaning the space in front of the station.
You describe it as “Nishitetsu Kasugaharu Station”, but I consider this expression somewhat misleading.
In addition, a wayspot for this station already exists.
It appears to be a portal as well, so it seems to have been registered quite some time ago.
