To me this is a different matter. This is when multiple waypoints are using the same Title. For example 5 markers are titled “#### Trail Marker”. IMO: The OP is stating that the “Title”, “Description” and “Supplemental” of the same waypoint are all using the same text.
In these cases I would probably Reject or Skip depending on the rest of the nomination.
Being too strict is the same as being too lenient: it creates inconstancy and makes the review body unreliable.
Niantic provides guidelines specifically because they want consistency.
To actively enact your own harsher policy is gatekeeping.
Regarding OP, they maybe be unremarkable or boring but if they are accurate and adequate I would accept them, we shouldn’t punish others over a perceived lack in writing eloquence when the submitter could just be a child.

I think that “Gatekeeping” gets a specific meaning on these forums due to the people that complain that we are Gatekeeping because we won’t accept the garden gnome they nominated.
IMO: Rejecting nomination where all 3 text field are the same is not Gatekeeping. We get “Low quality or inaccurate…” as a Rejection reason for both Title and Description. If the Description is just a copy of the Title then it is “Low Quality”.
If I get a nomination where all 3 text field are the same and it’s accurate, I’ll accept it.

I do not see how a description that is just the title can be anything but “Low Quality”.
I understand that not everything can have an interesting story to add to the description but it doesn’t take much to add a few words.
Title: “Children’s Playground” - Description: “Children’s Playground” is correct but low quality.
Title: “Children’s Playground - Wayfarer Park” - Description: “A children’s playground located near to the Wayfarer Road entrance.” is much better without putting a massive amount of effort in.
I understand that this is 1 of the wayfarer criteria that needs the individual reviewer to make a decision on whether the Description is “Low Quality” enough so I am not going to say you are wrong if you accept but I wouldn’t expect to be told that I was wrong if I rejected.
This is the reason that it goes to multiple people to vote otherwise Niantic could just send it to 1 reviewer with the options of “Yes” / “No”.

- Titles and descriptions with player names or game-specific information (artist names are acceptable)
- Titles and descriptions with promotional content, URLs, or HTML tags
- Titles and descriptions that are derogatory/offensive
- Titles and descriptions with emoticons or emojis
- Descriptions copied directly from other sources
It doesn’t say anywhere to reject for low quality if it isn’t detailed.
It is left to the Reviewer to decide if they believe it to be Low Quality.
I see it as another where it reads different depending on where in the process you look but I still don’t think we can state “You Must 100% Vote This Way” or that removes the reason to have a vote in the 1st place.
The reason why we have multiple people voting is to downplay the impact of deviant reviewers, those who sway from the the guidelines.
If every reviewer was consistent, yes we would need only one vote.
But how is voting to reject a “Low Quality” description as “Low Quality” deviating from the guidelines?
I have asked on these forums for confirmation on several of the criteria to be told that it is down to the Reviewers to make their “Best Judgement” as there is no Yes / No answer. This is why it goes to vote.

Gatekeeping and Gatekeeper are words we try to avoid on this forum as they are frequently used in a negative way to insult Wayfinders. We try to keep discussions civil, respectful and constructive.
