  • Additional Information (if any): PoI was made from an long closed casino (1945), the image used was from a generic online site Google Lens search. The complex of buildings is now mainly a convention centre and a indoor cycling. The last time this exact building was used was for a flower exibit called ā€œFloraliĆ«nā€

Have tried a few times to report the PoI, first time to appeal. especially since this PoI is out of reach for Ingress, barely reachable for other games.

A convention center sounds like a great place to socialize.

I donā€™t quite understand and want to help you help staff with this decision. Are you saying that ā€œCasinoruimte Citadelparkā€ no longer exists? Can you provide evidence that it is gone, like a news story or something?

Restricted entrance alone is not a removal reason and is listed as an appropriate location in the tool tip for Appropriate:

Ugh. Google has changed how search works, but I did find that photo online here:

Staff will have to tell you what evidence they will need if it never existed.

Itā€™s quite tough finding any articles around this. I have been living in this town for 15 years and i have never known for it to be a Casino. Iā€™m having trouble finding any decent articles around this.

Now itā€™s just an empty warehouse. The convention centre (ICC) has no connection as far as i know and the indoor biking building that now serves as concert hall (ā€˜t kuipke) doesnā€™t either.

They have tried to make the space a part of the museum., which is part of the other side of the park, but 30 years later (article was from 1995) that still hasnā€™t happened.
Like i said in the original post. The last time i knew the space was actually used was for the Floraliƫn in 2020 and 2022.

Itā€™s not part of the ICC. Thatā€™s why this feels like it should not be a PoI.
Itā€™s been used twice in the last 5 years for a flower expo called FloraliĆ«n.

Thanks for the appeal, @Graineag. After reviewing the additional evidence provided, weā€™ve decided to retire the Wayspot in question.
