According to Golf & Disc Golf Courses, “there should be one Wayspot, which could be the first tee or a marker at the start to represent the whole course” and “The individual start and end points of each section of the course should not be submitted”. According to official website https://golf.lacity.gov/course_encino/#jp-carousel-486, this wayspot is most likely the starting point of hole 17 and definitely not hole 1. Please remove this wayspot.

Thanks for the appeal, Explorer. We had a look at this Wayspot and decided that it doesn’t meet the criteria for removal at this time.

Are you sure about that? Cause here and here similar wayspots got removed. Maybe @NianticLC should take a look.

Hey, I understand it isn’t ideal to enter, but you’re basing this as probably being a par marker and not some kind of “artist” obelisk? Is there anything you can do to prove it’s the marker (besides the naming of it)?

btw, here - Google Maps - you can see a group of golfers close to it.

I can tell you for sure it’s not a PAR marker. It’s a HOLE marker.

It looks like it is probably one of these. It most likely does say “Par” on the other side. A photo of the other side would really help.

It actually looks like this and like several other POIs mentioned in the links above, and DEFINITELY says “Par” on it.
