It’s a neighborhood sign. Technically most of it is accessible from the public sidewalk. So could it get accepted?
We have talked a LOT on this forum about neighborhood signs. Staff have not made a clarification on these. How do you think this meets any criteria?
- Must meet at least one of the three eligibility criteria
- A great place for exploration
- A great place for exercise
- A great place to be social with others

It’s definitely a great place to achieve a minimal of “light” exercise and more because of the sidewalks. If you consider walking around sidewalks and admiring the view it’s also a great place for exploration.
Do you go there in order to exercise, or is that something you can do going past it? Do you go there to look at the view, or is that something you can do? Would you take a friend to come with you to check out this sign?
I do not think these meet criteria 99% of the time.
I do walk in the neighborhood every morning. Additionally, nearby, I saw a neighborhood sign that was accepted.
But do you walk because of that sign?
Just because something was accepted does not mean it should have been. But it does mean that it is more likely for reviewers to accept them, even if incorrectly, when they see them already in game. The same applies to graffiti, memorial benches, little free libraries on private residential property, and so on.

Being able to exercise near something does not make it eligible. That would be nearly everything everywhere.

There is no simple answer to this.
There is also a difference between would this get accepted ( can’t offer a guess with the limited information) And should this get accepted ( again limited information)
And those are different from I want this to be accepted.
Each has to be assessed on its own merits. Hence there are no simple rules .
For example it is a bit difficult to judge but my impression is that this is some pretty landscaping incorporating a not very special looking estate sign.
If I was coming over to visit you I can’t see this being on my list of places to visit, admire or learn from . It’s not meeting the explore criteria for me.
There is no obvious place to stop, sit and socialise. The equivalent perhaps of a picnic area. So not meeting socialise.
Lastly there is exercise. Is this place designed to go to exercise? I don’t see any equipment there. Is there an official trail? It’s quite popular to put in walking/running trails?
I get a lot of exercise by walking around the pavements where I live. But that is not what they were designed for and there is no trail. I pass many location signs and places on my walks but they are not designed to help me exercise. Some of them stand on their own merits and can be submitted…..
And we are back to where we started. 
From the limited information I would veer towards a rejection.
Ah got it. New update: it got accepted. It does have a garden (the one in the picture is very outdated) as they update it regularly. Sadly it’s for another game and not Pokemon go.
Ok yes I see your point here, but most niantic game players (pogo players) wouldn’t really go to the park for the playgrounds there, or the sculptures there, or the park sign entrance. They likely go because of how much pokestops gyms and more are at the park. This question sort of creates a gray spot. However parks are definitely a great place to socialize and get exercise.
But again, if they walk at the park, it’s probably to get new spawns in pokemon go.
The message you are seeing is misleading, unhelpful, confusing, badly worded and easy to misunderstand. Scopely have form with this, especially longstanding messages which they won’t change.
This simply means it is in the wayfarer database, hasn’t been used as a pokestop/gym in Pokemon Go, but might get used by other Scopely Explore games (or might even get used as a powerspot in Pogo).
Wayspots need to meet criteria without any regard to what Pokemon Go players do. People often go to parks to walk around, exercise, meet other people, walk dogs, explore their surroundings. That’s what matters - Wayfarer is about logging things that are POI, not creating things to be POI.
Ah ok. Well I’m fine I guess if it didn’t become anything in Pogo I heard scopely has other games that I will never play maybe it becomes a power spot although.

I’m unclear why you posted a picture that was not the submission and one that was also outdated and missing more context.
It’s good that you have something close that is in the game.
And you now understand about the logic.
Just because it says that it is not in pokemon go right now does not mean that it will not sync in if it was just accepted. You may have missed the cutoff for today’s sync, which should be in about an hour and a half, give or take. If it missed today’s, it could still be added in tomorrow’s.

If you would like to give us the location, we can check the cells for you to see if it is eligible. But since you redacted the information on the original post, I assume you don’t want to share that. If you do, you can get the gps coordinates from the original email just after the photos.
